The Lord is my strength! – Have you ever had a powerful, life-changing encounter with God where everything suddenly makes sense? These sacred moments feel like standing on a mountaintop – surrounded by God’s peace, clarity and presence. We feel alive and spiritually renewed, longing to hold on to these moments and stay in that place forever. Yet, let us not forget that while these mountaintop moments may be fleeting, they are graciously given to us as a source of strength, preparing us for the challenges we may face in the valleys of everyday life. Lewis once said, “The central Christian belief is that Christ’s death has somehow put us right with God and given us a fresh start.” This statement beautifully captures the heart of the Gospel, which is not only about sin and forgiveness but also about grace, new life and transformation through Christ. The Gospel is centred on Jesus, our Saviour, Bridegroom and Lord, where the focus shifts from guilt and condemnation to His love, sacrifice, and the freedom He offers through redemption and resurrection.
