There is wholeness in unity
Read:
Luke 2:4-7 (NLT): And because Joseph was a descendant of King David, he had to go to Bethlehem in Judea, David’s ancient home. He travelled there from the village of Nazareth in Galilee. He took with him Mary, to whom he was engaged, who was expecting their child. And while they were there, the time came for her baby to be born. She gave birth to her firstborn son. She wrapped Him snugly in strips of cloth and laid Him in a manger, because there was no lodging available for them.

During this wonderful advent period, let us follow this example:
It’s important to stand together in unity. The journey that Joseph and Mary had to make was long and difficult, but how amazing that they did it together! There is power in unity and community. This involves surrounding ourselves with loved ones who are willing to journey with us, not just through the mountain top moments, but also the deepest valleys.
What is your definition of family, wholeness and unity? Who can you include as part of your “doing life together” inner group?
Pray:
Father God, we ask that You place people in our lives that will join us, support us and love on us as we journey through life. We ask that You also help us to be those people in the lives of others! Jesus teach us that there is power in unity and in “doing life together”… Help us to experience the closeness of family, friendship and fellowship.
Amen.
