Jesus is our hope

Read:

Romans 12:12 (NIV): Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.

Act:

During this wonderful advent period, let us remember:

We have a sure hope because of Jesus. He humbled Himself, came down from on high, took human form and gave Himself up for us at Calvary. We can have hope in every season – because Jesus knows what we’re going through, He understands, and He is waiting with open arms to help us on our journey!

Who do you turn to when you are feeling hopeless, unhappy, or impatient with your circumstance? What is your response when it feels like your prayers are not being answered? What is your one true hope?

Pray:

Father God, we stand amazed again as we reflect back on the life of our Saviour, the One who came to set us free and to give us assurance and hope! Lord, bless us with wisdom and revelation each day to understand the magnitude of the hope we have because of the sacrifice of Jesus! Jesus, we focus our eyes on You alone, as You are our reason for joy!
