God wants to use us too

Read:

Luke 2:8-11 (NLT): That night there were shepherds staying in the fields nearby, guarding their flocks of sheep. Suddenly, an angel of the Lord appeared among them, and the radiance of the Lord’s glory surrounded them. They were terrified, but the angel reassured them. “Don’t be afraid!” he said. “I bring you good news that will bring great joy to all people. The Saviour—yes, the Messiah, the Lord—has been born today in Bethlehem, the city of David!.

Act:

During this wonderful advent period, let us be encouraged:

God destined us for His Kingdom purposes – let’s go out and proclaim the good news! Imagine the large numbers of impressive officials and people of high standing at the time Jesus was born… and yet God picked three ordinary, faithful shepherds to witness the birth of His Son; and to go out into the city to share what they had seen with others.

We have all been called to spread the good news of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ – are you faithful with that calling?

Pray:

Father God, help us to be good stewards and conduits of Your love, goodness and faithfulness – which You so generously lavish on us. Help us to glorify You in all we do and to spread the good news of the gospel to all we encounter. May Your will be done, and Your Kingdom come on earth as it is in heaven.
Amen.
