W@W WRAP – Week 392

Living a God-First, Christ-Led, Holy Spirit-Inspired Life – In Africa, there is a fascinating bird known for its intricate nest-building skills called the "weaver bird." This remarkable bird constructs its nest from leaves, weaving a roof and an entrance as a way to attract other birds. In the Kingdom of God, could we be called weavers? Do we intricately weave Kingdom lessons – principles and teachings of Jesus Christ, such as love, forgiveness, humility, patience and generosity – into our everyday lives? Whether at the office, online, on the telephone with a friend, at the grocery store, or at home with our family, are we asking God to help us share how living according to His precepts profoundly transforms our lives? Are we attracting others, inspiring them to live a God-first, Christ-led, Holy Spirit-inspired life? (Ephesians 3:16-21)

W@W WRAP – Week 391

Knowing God deeply through His Word, so that we may Live Differently! – Do you long for a deeper understanding of who God is? The Word of God provides us with intimate knowledge of His character, reveals the essence of His heart, and offers us guidance for living a God-first life! But perhaps the more important question is: "What is your relationship with your Bible?" Can you remember the very first time you truly read your Bible, not just as a routine task but with genuine engagement? When was the last time you immersed yourself deeply in the Word of God, savouring and reflecting on every word? The Word of God is truly a love letter to us, and we should absorb every word. It's not just about reading and memorising the words, but about reflecting on each written word, allowing the Holy Spirit to unpack the words and change us to become more like Christ. God's Word isn't static; it's dynamic, alive and transformative. (John 17:3)

W@W WRAP – Week 390

Reflecting the hope we have in Jesus! – When people think of you, what is the first thing that comes to mind? Do they see someone fully committed to living a life for Christ? Or perhaps someone torn between worldly pursuits and the teachings of God's Word? Are you perceived as a genuine believer, an unbeliever, or merely going through the motions? Are you known as someone who is constantly anxious about life's challenges? Are you seen as critical of others or as someone who uplifts and encourages those around you? These questions prompt us to pause and reflect deeply on the impression we leave on others. (Romans 15:13)

W@W WRAP – Week 389

Love God with all your Heart, Soul and Mind! – Do you truly understand the depth and breadth of God's love? His love is profoundly selfless and unconditional. He doesn't prioritize His own gain or loss; instead, He puts Himself on the line, hoping we will return His love. He leaves the 99 to seek the one lost sheep, demonstrating a love that is bold and sacrificial. This is the same love that sent His own Son to endure a gruesome death on the cross. Despite our sins breaking His heart, He is always ready to forgive and welcome us back home. His love is extravagant and unwavering, transforming us through His grace and truth. We are loved beyond measure by the God who created us. And all He desires in return is a living relationship with Him. (Matthew 22:35–40)

W@W WRAP – Week 388

Returning to our First Love! – Have you perhaps forsaken your first love and initial passion for God? Close your eyes and remember the first time you welcomed God into your life – that exhilarating, fresh, new and exciting feeling, that burning passion, a fire deep within your heart. This initial passion is often characterised by a profound sense of joy, purpose and connection with God. Yet, over time, the demands and distractions of daily life can cause this passion to wane, leading to a more routine practice of faith. So, may we revive the zeal and passion we first had for the truth that is only found in Jesus. (Revelation 2:4-5)

May our First Response always be to Pray to and Worship our Lord! – What an amazing gift we have received from our Lord! In a world filled with despair and uncertainty, we can find comfort in being able to sing songs of joy. Whether this joy comes from deep within our hearts or through prayer and praise, it is a testament to the enduring grace, faithfulness and love of our Creator. May others be drawn to the peace and joy we experience in the midst of life's challenges so that we can courageously share the limitless hope we have found in our relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ – a hope that goes beyond this world and into all eternity. (Psalm 34:1-3)

W@W WRAP – Week 374

Walking with Jesus – Have you ever felt lost in life or wondered who you are, where you're going, or what your purpose is? Let's remember that our identity is not defined by this world, but by Whose we are. God has a good plan for each of us, and we have an open invitation from Jesus to walk with Him and leave follow-worthy footsteps behind. (Matthew 4:19-22)

The Foundational Truth – Even though we may go through seasons when the fig tree doesn't blossom and the vines seem to have no fruit, when the weight of this world feels unbearable, we can rejoice in our Lord's steadfast love, faithfulness and guidance. God's Word is a beacon of hope that radiates strength, encouragement and wisdom when we need it most. Let us earnestly seek God's will through an intimate relationship with Him and obediently follow where He leads us. Today, let us declare and hold onto this foundational truth: "If God is for us, nothing can ever stand against us." (Proverbs 3:5-6; Hebrews 4:12; Luke 22:42)

W@W WRAP – Week 371

A New Way! – Do you ever feel like you need a fresh start in life? This feeling usually arises when we realise that unexpected events have led us astray from our envisioned path. It could be related to our careers, relationships, health, finances, dreams, or other aspects of our lives. However, longing for a new beginning doesn't mean we have failed. Instead, it is an acknowledgement that growth and transformation are essential aspects of our life's journey. So may we turn to God first – knowing that for Him, nothing is impossible, He is faithful, and He can create a new way out of what seems to be dead or impossible. So, let us embrace the infinite possibilities that lie ahead as we walk, together with our Lord and the help of Godly mentors, towards a brighter future. (Isaiah 43:19)

W@W WRAP – Week 359

A Christ-like Mindset… – In today's world, it's common to see people expressing their opinions in different ways. Some do it peacefully, using words to convey their message. Others choose a more chaotic approach, raising their voices to sway others to their beliefs. This raises an important question: What do we believe, and how do we express it to the world? Thankfully, God has given us His Holy Spirit to guide us in our thoughts and actions. With salvation in Christ Jesus, we can have a Christ-like mindset to direct us in every aspect of our lives. (Philippians 2:3-11)
