A Lamp unto my feet… – May we be intentional this week about spending time in God’s presence and in His Word. May we ask God to fill our hearts and thoughts with His life-giving, hope-filled words; so that we will TRUST the work of the Holy Spirit with fully devoted servant hearts; and then go out and spread the good news of HOPE and PEACE. (Psalm 119:105)
Found in Your presence… - May we turn our hearts to seek God – our great I Am – as we become more spiritually aware of His presence in our lives. May we not miss a single opportunity to hear His voice, to obey His will and to stand firm on His promises. May we be steadfast in our devotional time – going back to God’s Word as the foundation of our lives; our source of WISDOM; and the TRUTH that sets us free and gives us eternal HOPE. (Matthew 6:33)
Peace be with You! - I pray today that we will die to self and surrender the entirety of our lives to be transformed into the likeness of Jesus, so that we reflect God’s goodness and love everywhere we go. May our greatest desire be to know and love God more intimately. May we run after an authentic relationship with our Heavenly Father, and implant His Word and promises deeply in our hearts. And may we hold onto the truth that Jesus speaks over our lives and the peace that He gives to us – until the day of His return! (Philippians 4:8-9)
Trust God and serve Him well! - May we be still in God’s presence and wait quietly and patiently for Him to “visit us”. May we be present in the here and now – trusting God and being content where He has placed us; and taking the next steps to serve Him well in all we do! May we not bow to the pressures of this world or the fears that threaten to cripple us. Let us hold on to truth and by faith, choose to surrender everything to our faithful, loving Heavenly Father. May we be bold and fearless in spreading the good news everywhere we go – not in our own strength, but relying on the Holy Spirit for wisdom and power! (1 Corinthians 2:1-5)
In the light of His glory and grace… - Let’s take time today, to reflect on how our Heavenly Father, El Roi, sees us, cares for us and loves us. Let’s allow the light of His glory and grace to shine in and through us as we bow down and worship Him in prayer and thanksgiving for all He is, and for the blessings He bestows upon us. Let us fix our eyes on Jesus as we navigate through life. Let’s be faithful in our calling, so that our faith and the work of our hands will produce kingdom-fruit, all for His glory. And may we remain still and at peace in the knowledge that our God reigns forever! (Micah 6:8)
Eternal glory! - As we prepare to celebrate the most significant event in history… I stopped for a moment to reflect on the meaning of Easter. What does Easter mean to you? The death of Jesus? An empty tomb? A Risen Christ?
To see God… - What is the condition of your heart? If you are really open and honest with yourself today, would you describe your heart as being pure – undivided, set-apart, focused and controlled by God? As Solomon prompts us in Proverbs 4:23 (TPT): “So above all, guard the affections of your heart, for they affect all that you are”.
God is in our breakthrough… - We are well into this year, seeing nature changing and preparing for new seasons… This recently caused me to halt for a few seconds and take stock. We are all excited and energised at the beginning of a new year, hopeful about fulfilling our goals and dreams for the year. Upon reflecting, I was aware that we sometimes later find ourselves feeling a little discouraged, our souls cast down, as we realise how busy life has been; and how we may not be as far advanced with our plans and dreams as we prayed and believed we would…
