A Lamp unto my feet…
Read:
Psalm 119:105 (AMP): “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path”.
Act:
Let us be determined this week to:
Desire the presence of our Lord. May we be intentional about focusing on God – fixing our eyes on Jesus, and letting Him lead us through our day. Let’s be immersed in His Word, taking time to understand His purpose and plans for us. Let’s remember God’s goodness and faithfulness, resting in the peace of the truth that comes from Him. May we all daily experience God’s peace, and the eternal hope we have in Him. May we ask and allow the Holy Spirit to lead us into greater fruitfulness, as we give our time and talents to serve and glorify Him in all we do.
Ask God to show us how we can help and love on each other. One of the greatest characteristics God has gifted us with, is to be a helper (in Hebrews the word: ʿēzer). Just as God is our strength and help in times of need… and as Jesus came to save and teach us… and as God the Father sent us the ultimate Helper – the Holy Spirit… May we ask God to give us a devoted servant heart. May we trust Him to give us words of hope for the lives of others – to let them know that He is good, faithful and always with us! May we allow God to fill us with peace, with faith, and with hope! Let’s hold on to God’s promises. Let us set our hearts to glorify and honour Him. Let us trust that He will show us the way and help us to extend His truth and love to those around us!
Pray:
Lord, thank You so much for Your light, Your salvation, and Your strength as our stronghold. Father God, we ask that you would capture our hearts and minds; that You would be the first place we run to in times of trouble. In You, it is possible to have peace in times of trouble.
Lord, we know what the fruit of the Spirit are, but may we put it into practice in our everyday lives! May the fruit be visible in the work we do. We ask that You lead us and show us where, how, and to whom we can demonstrate this fruit of Your life within us.
Heavenly Father, in the Name of Jesus we thank You for Your Word. Your Word is awesome, Your Word is powerful Lord. ABBA Father, we stand united in prayer, praying for the people who serve together, to further Your kingdom. Lord, You are Holy. As You said in Your Word in Mark 10:45, You did not come for us to work for You… You came to serve. Oh Lord, we thank You.
Lord, I pray that Your Holy Spirit would guard our mouths, so that we will speak only words that edify and bring life. Give us words that speak hope. May Your Spirit of love reign in the words we speak, so that we do not wound one another, but that we love one another.
Father God, thank You so much for the truth of Your Word. Thank You that your Word is a light to our feet and a lamp to our path. Lord when the darkness closes in on us, help us to rise above; help us to grab hold of that one scripture that You want to speak into the depths of our hearts. Walk alongside us Lord, lead us and guide us. Holy Spirit, let God’s Word come alive in the depths of our hearts. In Jesus Name I pray. Amen.
Amen.
