W@W WRAP – Week 404

Rooted in God's Rest! – We live in a world that values busyness, where worth is based on productivity, and our identity is found in achievements rather than in our relationship with God. However, God desires for us to live countercultural lives in a performance-driven world and invites us to be rooted in His rest. His design isn't for us to run endlessly, but to pause, be still, surrender control, and trust in His care and provision. Rest is an act of faith, a time to find peace in God's presence, to let go of the need to prove ourselves, and to embrace our identity as His beloved children. In resting, we create space to hear God's voice, restore our souls, and rediscover life's deeper meaning. (Genesis 2:2–3 & Exodus 20:8–11)

W@W WRAP – Week 383

Be Still and Know… – Do you ever feel like you are surrounded by storms, with the challenges of life raging around you? Amidst a physical storm encountered by Jesus and His disciples, He calmly responded by rebuking the wind and saying to the sea, ‘Peace be still!’ May we remember that difficult life situations can serve as a training ground for growth, restoration, healing and peace. Just as oysters transform grit into pearls, our trials can also be turned into precious treasures. (Psalm 46:10 & Isaiah 30:15)

W@W WRAP – Week 307

Encouragement! – Have you ever had a difficult day, only to have it turned around by the encouragement of a loving friend, or by finding the perfect Scripture to ease your heart? God knew when He created us that we would need one another and that we would need Him! When we look around and see the changes taking place in the world, we realise how the gift of those we love in Jesus keeps us grounded. God’s Holy Word reminds us of His steadfast love for us. When our eyes are fixed on Jesus, He will bring clarity, refreshing to our souls, and rest and peace in His presence. Let us incline our hearts to how the Holy Spirit continuously reminds us that God’s love, goodness and mercy will follow us all the days of our lives. (2 Timothy 1:1-7)

W@W WRAP – Week 264

Pausing to come to Jesus… – Let us pray together today: “Jesus, it’s all about You! Everything we are, our entire being, starts and continues to flow from who You are and who You created us to be. We cannot be spiritually healthy without Your touch from heaven. So Lord, please come and renew our minds and fill our hearts. Refill our spirits with Your perfect peace, reset our priorities to long and seek after You like never before! Help us to simply come as we are and follow where You lead us. Bless us with Your presence so that we can find renewal and peace in You.” (John 6:37)

W@W WRAP – Week 201

Be still and know that I am God! - Lord, today we pray, please help us to be still enough to recognise Your voice. Remove all hindrances that stand in the way of us connecting with You. May we obey You in every aspect of our lives. We praise You for the blessing of Your Word and the opportunity to study it. Transform us and equip us to be doers of Your Word. Fill us with joy, so that we may stand strong in the face of trials. And Father, help us to be faithful as we share Your Salvation message during every season of our lives. May we glorify You in all we do. (Psalm 46:10)

W@W WRAP – Week 193

In the light of His glory and grace… - Let’s take time today, to reflect on how our Heavenly Father, El Roi, sees us, cares for us and loves us. Let’s allow the light of His glory and grace to shine in and through us as we bow down and worship Him in prayer and thanksgiving for all He is, and for the blessings He bestows upon us. Let us fix our eyes on Jesus as we navigate through life. Let’s be faithful in our calling, so that our faith and the work of our hands will produce kingdom-fruit, all for His glory. And may we remain still and at peace in the knowledge that our God reigns forever! (Micah 6:8)

W@W WRAP – Week 192

Seek God first! - God is good, loving and faithful! Regardless of challenging or shifting situations in our lives, we can rest in the knowledge that God is always there. He is constant, He is full of grace and He hears us when we pray. May our first response in every situation be to seek Him. That is how our hearts get filled with the life-giving energy and wisdom of the Holy Spirit; so that our lives can overflow with HOPE, JOY, PEACE and LOVE. (Lamentations 3:22-26)

W@W WRAP – Week 191

Peace be still – It is well with my soul! - Here are a few questions I believe will help us grow in our faith-journey: 1) Are you filled with the Holy Spirit or ‘running on empty’ due to busyness, anxiety or fear? 2)Do you rely on your own abilities and limited knowledge, or do you allow the Holy Spirit to work wisdom, power and strength into your life to help you to see things from a heavenly perspective? 3) Are you living out your purpose and calling – obedient and aligned with God’s will and instructions for your life? 4) Are you using the gifts and talents God has given you to advance His Kingdom and glorify His name here on earth? 5) Do you know (spending enough time) and live according to God’s Word (the Bible) – can you recite at least one Bible verse? 6) Is your heart so filled with God’s Spirit, that His love, peace, hope, joy and life spring forth in all you think, feel and do, regardless of your current situation? 7) Do you act with wisdom, kindness and grace, because you have been forgiven of much; and you know that you are blessed and set apart to be a blessing to others? Let us give thanks today and declare: “Lord, It is well with our souls, because of Who You are!” (Psalm 146:1-2)
