Pausing to come to Jesus…

Read:

John 6:37 (AMP): All that My Father gives Me will come to Me; and the one who comes to Me I will most certainly not cast out [I will never, never reject anyone who follows Me].

Act:

Pause and pursue Jesus!
Our spiritual well-being can only come through a relationship with Jesus. An unexplainable peace and joy fill our hearts and minds as we take our worries, cares, and anxious thoughts to Him. We can faithfully lay our burdens at His feet and find rest in His presence. Jesus invites each of us to come to Him and surrender our lives to Him. He is always with us and will never reject those who seek Him first.

Let us pause and commit to a daily plan of spending time in God’s presence, being still, and allowing Jesus to direct our steps as we FOCUS on Him and Him alone.

Pray:

Our Heavenly Father, we bow before You today, acknowledging You as our King of kings and Lord of lords. Thank You, that through Jesus You have made a way for us to come into Your presence and know Your peace. Thank You for the truth of Your Word that anchors us, and the comfort that Your Spirit brings us when times are difficult. We are so grateful that our hope is not in the pursuit of this world and all its trappings, but in the eternal home that You have prepared for us. As we pause and remember the year that has passed and reflect on the year that lies ahead, please help us Lord, to take our anxious thoughts captive in obedience to You. To honour You in all that we do and to lay our burdens at the foot of the cross. We love You Lord! We lift Your name on high. We pray all these things in the precious name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Amen.
