The breastplate of righteousness... - We need to protect our hearts, because from there flows life. God has given us the gift of righteousness through the sacrifice of Jesus. Let’s stand firm against sinning, so that we can be in right standing with God and do what He called us to do. (Ephesians 6:14 NIV)
Grounded in Jesus! – Let’s rejoice today, knowing that we can find perfect peace as we rest and place our hope in God, and as we trust His perfect will for our lives. May we remain grounded in Christ, with hearts deeply rooted in the Word of God, so that our lives will radiate God’s glory! Let’s know that in and through Jesus, we can stand firm, now and for eternity. (Romans 15:13)
Well done, My good and faithful servant! – Let’s pray today: “Lord, will You please mould us and draw us closer to Your heart, so that we can keep shining Your light! We long for our lives to bring You joy, as we align ourselves with Your agenda, Your timeline and Your will. Please give us opportunities to share the gospel with those in our communities as You renew the love we have for You and for our neighbours. With hearts that are pure, noble, right and lovely, may we serve You well.” (Matthew 25:23)
Standing in unity, encouraging one other… – Let us be encouraged today to stand in unity as the Body of Christ, so that the Kingdom of God can be revealed on earth as it is in heaven! Let us ask God to enlarge our capacity, so that we can reach out to love one another as we sow Kingdom seeds with generous hearts. Let us obediently step out in faith for the glory and honour of our Lord. (Isaiah 54:2)
For the One… – Let us pray today: “Lord we are thanking You that Your Word is our anchor and rock-solid truth! Fill us to overflowing with Your Word so that we may stand firm in days of trouble. Remind us that there is always hope, light and life through Your resurrection power! Make us confident in prayer, knowing that You will bless and provide for us according to Your will. Help us to diligently seek You, as we pray for those who do not know you yet. May they be reconciled back to you. Help us to be patient and full of peace as we faithfully trust in You!” (2 Corinthians 5:18-19)
The belt of truth... - Did you know that God has given us a super cool gift – it’s called the Armour of God! I hope you will join us over the next couple of months, on a journey as we unpack each piece that forms part of God’s amour. This month we’re going to look at the first piece, THE BELT OF TRUTH. Making the most of every opportunity... - May we grab hold of every opportunity to make a difference in the world around us, by focusing on the beautiful and wonderful things in life. May we see opportunities instead of problems. May we be wise, positive, hope-filled children of the Light, because we stand victorious in and through Jesus. (Ephesians 5:15-17)
Prayer, joy, peace and love… – Let’s pray bold prayers this week… Prayers that activate our faith in our Lord’s ability to do the impossible. Let’s ask our Heavenly Father to restore and fill us with His joy and peace that truly transcends all understanding. Let’s look up with gratitude; fixing our eyes on Jesus and His promises; and trusting that His goodness and faithfulness will see us through life’s ups and downs. May we be so full of Him that the fruits of His Spirit in us are evident to those around us – as we serve and love them! (Philippians 4:6-9)
Our source of eternal hope, joy and peace! – May we remember this week, that God is faithful as we walk in alignment with Him. He does answer our prayers in His perfect timing. He truly is our place of refuge and strength! May we fix our eyes on our eternal source of Hope, Joy and Peace – Jesus our Lord and Saviour. He gave His life so that we can be set free and have an intimate relationship with our Heavenly Father. May we, through the help of the Holy Spirit, boldly share Him as our source of eternal hope, joy and peace with those around us. (Psalm 121)
Unfailing Love… – May the prayer of our hearts for this week be: Lord, help us to live in Your unfailing love every day! Help us to establish our feet on The Rock that is the truth of Your Word. Help us to obediently trust You with all our concerns – grateful to know that our lives have been purposed and planned by You. Revive our hearts and renew our minds as we put our hope in You, Lord Jesus. Thank You for loving us and showing us how to love others. Help us to be Godly friends – shining Your light into a dark and desperate world. Father God, thank You for the new life You give to us through Jesus. Amen. (Psalm 85:6-7)
