Unfailing Love…
Read:
Psalm 85:6-7 (NIV): “Will You not revive us again, that Your people may rejoice in You? Show us Your unfailing love, Lord, and grant us Your salvation”.
Act:
Let us be determined this week to:
Ask God to revive us again, so that we may be a people that rejoice in His unfailing love. May we ask God for spiritual eyes to see the world around us like He does; to love others the way He loves them; to seek after a more intimate relationship with Him; and to allow Him to renew our minds and fill us with His life-giving hope, joy and peace.
Stand firm on God – our rock solid foundation. Where is your faith, hope and trust anchored? Often, we try to be our own anchor in life. We try our best to hold it all together alone when times are tough. Yet the prayer of our hearts should be, to let go and trust God. Let us allow God to establish us on His solid foundation – so that no matter what we face in life, we can rest – TRULY REST – in His goodness and faithfulness to get us through.
Shine our lights before others, so that God may be glorified through our actions and our deeds. When it comes to our own homes, our relationships, and our friendships, are we intentional and consistent in displaying the love and forgiveness of Christ? Are we grateful for the gift of family and friends who come alongside us, who encourage us during difficult seasons, and with whom we can do life together? They are truly gifts from God. May we be diligent in nurturing our relationships and praying for our families, our children and our friends.
Pray:
O Father, like the sons of Kora, we want to sing a song of praise to You. We thank You for Your forgiveness Lord, we thank you that you’ve covered all our sins. But Lord, in times like this, when we experience fear, anxiety and anger about many problems, we ask for Your touch. We need Your love and we need Your intervention personally. So come Holy Spirit and meet each and every one of us.
Lord, strengthen those that feel tired, exhausted and weary. They have done all they can, everything they know to stand strong and firm, and to be bold and courageous. Lord, give them the strength to stand firm in faith when they don’t know what to do, where to go, or who to turn to.
ABBA Father, thank You that we can know that we don’t have to worry about anything. Even in our upside-down world at the moment, You are in control and You will help us with everything that we need.
Heavenly Father, we are so thankful for the gift of family, children and Godly friends – they are such a blessing to us. Help us to love them the way that You love them; to be patience and to forgive them; and entrust them to You, Heavenly Father. May we point them daily to You, Lord Jesus.
O LORD, we thank YOU for the gift of GODLY friends. Indeed, through them our joys are multiplied, our sorrows divided, our hearts comforted, and our souls uplifted to YOU. Help us, in return, to be GODLY friends to those YOU place in our path. May we never, ever forget that YOU are the lover of our souls, the Friend who is closer than a brother or sister. May we realise that our salvation gives us access to YOUR friendship for all eternity. You tell us that YOU will never leave us, or forsake us.
FATHER, if there is anyone within the sound of my voice who does not have the assurance of their salvation, and YOUR eternal friendship, may they pray at this very moment, for YOU to forgive their sin, and come into their heart to reign as their LORD forever! In Jesus’ precious name. Amen.
Amen.
