Read:
Matthew 25:23 (AMP): “His master said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful and trustworthy over a little, I will put you in charge of many things; share in the joy of your master’.”
Act:
Let us be determined this week to:
Remember that God’s mercies are new every morning. With His help, our lives can be filled with joy, kindness, purpose, love and compassion. Our lives can be meaningful in advancing the Kingdom of God here on earth. May we look after our own wellbeing carefully, so that we can serve and love others from hearts filled with God’s wisdom, vision and plans for our lives.
Bring joy to our Heavenly Father as we shine our lights, and say ‘Yes’ to God’s great calling on our lives. May we go out and paint a picture of Jesus, displaying the gospel wherever we go through renewed love for our neighbours, our communities, our nations and the world.
Ground our lives in the Truth of the Gospel. We know that all things work together for good and for God’s glory for those who trust our Lord. So let’s abide in Him – fully planted, rooted and nourished, to serve Him and others wholeheartedly. And as we lay down our heads to rest, may we all hear these words: “WELL DONE, MY GOOD and FAITHFUL SERVANT”.
Pray:
Father, I thank You for the privilege of being Your children, and being in Your hands. Thank You for the love that You have for us. Even though we go through difficult times, You are the one that sustains us; and we know that that is so. It is a unique privilege to be Your children now and forever. I pray that you would sustain us. Above all, would You use us in these days to reach a world that is dying and lost… a world that is without hope unless they know the Lord Jesus Christ.
Dear Lord, thank You for Your grace and miracles during this time, which each of us can testify to. There is still so much loss we deal with every day. Will You please shape us and mould us into Your image. Give us the strength to see through Your eyes, soften our hearts. Give us the ability to keep going. Give us eagles’ wings.
Lord Jesus, thank You for wanting us. Thank You for loving what You created. Thank You that it was worth it for You – all of that time and all of that effort and pain. You knew it was coming, and yet You did it, because we bring You joy! I ask that You will show us more ways to bring You joy. I ask for more opportunities to love one another, to pray for our enemies, to submit, and to be a servant of all.
Dear God, thank You so much that we don’t have to be incredible communicators… we don’t have to be super-strong people to share the gospel. Thank You Lord, that You have given us such an incredible message that all we have to do is simply share it. We ask that You would give us opportunities to share that message and display the gospel to those around us.
Oh Father God, we are so, so grateful that You are our Father. You plan each step of our day and You hold it in the palm of Your hand. Father help us to shine Your light, to be obedient, and to minister to and bless people in ways that we may not even be aware of. We want to die to our flesh and shine Your light, so that we can hear You say to us, ‘Well done’. We are ready to be obedient to Your Word, Your promises and Your truth. I ask that You bless each person here Father, and whisper to each heart: “Well done my good and faithful servant”. Thank You Jesus. Amen.
Amen.
