W@W WRAP – Week 420

Rooted in God: Embracing Our True Identity – In a world that constantly challenges our sense of self, it’s so important to remember that our true identity is rooted in God. Who we are is not defined by fleeting standards or shifting opinions but by the eternal love and truth of our Creator. As Neil T. Anderson said, “But when you know who you are in Christ, you no longer need to be threatened by people or compete with them, because you are already secure and loved.” Anchored in God’s Word and promises, we are reminded that we are chosen, loved and empowered by Him. Let us reflect on the depth of our identity in Christ, allowing His truth to shape our lives, decisions and interactions with others. Together, may we fully embrace the life-changing power of knowing who we are in Him. (Ephesians 1:4, Romans 8:38–39 & Philippians 4:13)

W@W WRAP – Week 419

Our God Will Always Make a Way – In life, we encounter both opportunities and challenges. Sometimes, the road ahead may seem overwhelming and the path unclear. Yet, we are reminded of the profound truth that our God will always make a way, even when there seems to be no way. His ways are far higher than ours, and His plans are perfect. He desires to bless us beyond what we could ever imagine or believe we deserve. As we surrender everything and trust Him, we find peace that calms our fears, provision that sustains us, and purpose that guides our journey. Let us anchor our hearts in His Word and walk boldly in the light of His promises, knowing that His faithfulness will never ever fail us. (Psalm 46:10, 2 Corinthians 9:8 & Philippians 1:6)

Take heart! – The well-known book, The Road Less Travelled by M. Scott Peck, opens with a familiar statement: "Life is difficult." Jesus says in John 16:33 (AMP): "I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have [perfect] peace. In the world you have tribulation and distress and suffering, but be courageous [be confident, be undaunted, be filled with joy]; I have overcome the world." When life throws challenges our way, it's natural to ask, "Why does God allow this? Why do bad things happen to good people? Has God forgotten me?" Yet, understanding and dealing with the reality that "life is sometimes difficult" prepares us to face adversity with faith, trusting that God can bring good even from our suffering. (Romans 8:28 & 2 Corinthians 1:3–4)

The Purpose of Life! – "Why am I alive? Does my life matter? What is my purpose?" These questions stem from our deep search for meaning. Simply existing isn't enough; we long to understand our purpose. Rick Warren reminds us that, "Focusing on ourselves will never reveal our life's purpose. We were made by God and for God – until we understand this, life will never make sense." Our purpose is rooted in serving and honouring God, not in personal ambitions. When we align with God's will and our true calling, life gains deeper meaning and direction, revealed to us through the Great Commandment and the Great Commission. (Matthew 22:37 & Matthew 28:19–20)

W@W WRAP – Week 399

Within Reach of God’s Loving Touch! – In Mark 5:25–34, we meet a woman suffering from a chronic bleeding condition for twelve years. This not only caused her immense physical pain but also completely isolated her from her community. Despite seeking help from many doctors without success, her steadfast faith led her to believe that touching Jesus’ garment would bring healing. Her trust in Jesus resulted in a miraculous cure, and Jesus affirmed her faith, saying, “Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace and be freed from your suffering.” This story reminds us that God is the only answer to whatever we need. So, may we remain close to Jesus, and approach Him with unwavering faith, confident that as we keep our eyes focused on Him, He will offer us healing, restoration, joy and peace. (Mark 5:25–29)

Not my Will, but Yours be Done! – We often struggle with the question, "What is God's will for my life?" However, we need to consider the broader question, "What is God's will?" Most of the time, we seek God's will during tough times or major decisions, wondering, "Why did God allow this to happen?" or "Is God still in control?" But His will is more than just moments – His will is Jesus Christ. It is about pursuing an intimate relationship with our Savior and glorifying Him in all we do. God's plan is far bigger than our individual desires; He invites us to be part of His grand mission to bring hope and salvation to the world. By aligning with His greater purpose, we discover our true calling and make His will a living part of our daily lives. When we surrender our lives and selfish ambitions into His loving and gracious hands, we cannot help but proclaim, "Not my will, but Yours be done!" (John 6:38–40)

Recommitting our lives to Jesus, having Faith and Believing again! – Do you ever question your faith or your relationship with God? Do you ever doubt if God is faithful and is who He says He is? Let us not only recall what He has done for us before, but recognise His ongoing work in our lives and the lives of others. How wonderful that we have His Word to meditate upon, knowing it's not just a list of do's and don'ts, but a testimony of His intricate involvement, goodness and grace in our lives. (Proverbs 3:5-6)

W@W WRAP – Week 379

Glorifying our Father in Heaven in all we do! – Have you ever wondered about the reason for your existence in this world, at this specific time and place? God not only created this earth and all its inhabitants, but He also continues to take care of us and provide for our needs. In light of His constant love, grace and goodness, what do you believe is His purpose for each of us? The Bible, God's instruction manual, consistently reminds us that our lives are meant to glorify Him in all we do and reveal His nature and character to the world, so that no one will have any excuse for not knowing and honouring our Lord. (Matthew 5:14-16)

W@W WRAP – Week 346

On our Knees Before our Lord! – What really matters in life brings us to our knees – either literally or in our hearts. Our Lord invites us to surrender every detail of our lives to Him, no matter how big or small. While we may feel we can handle certain situations on our own, our God is always ready to be a part of every solution we need. He promises never to leave our side and to help whenever we ask. When faced with challenges such as relationship struggles, financial issues, job concerns, or health issues, we can know that our Lord is there for us, waiting to help us through. (John 14:10-14)
