The Purpose of Life!

Read:

Matthew 22:37–38 (NLT): “‘You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. A second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.'”

Matthew 28:19–20 (NLT): “Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you…”

Act:

Let us be determined this week to:

“Love the Lord our God with all our heart, soul and mind. Our most important purpose is to WORSHIP and GLORIFY our Father in Heaven in response to His infinite love, which isn’t based on our worthiness but on who He is.

“Love our neighbours as ourselves. We are all called to MINISTRY by using our God-given gifts to serve others and meet their needs. This calling involves embodying Christ-like qualities and making a positive impact in their lives.

“Go and make disciples of all the nations. We are called to EVANGELISE by sharing the Good News of Christ with others. Through our actions, relationships and daily interactions, we spread God’s love and invite others into a transformative relationship with Him, fulfilling His command to make disciples of all nations.

“Teach others to obey all the commands God has given us. DISCIPLESHIP is a lifelong journey of becoming more like Christ. It involves living out His teachings, growing spiritually, serving others, and fostering relationships that help others deepen their faith. It’s about more than knowledge – it’s about authentic, God-first, Christ-led, Holy Spirit-inspired living.

“Baptise new believers in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. We are created for FELLOWSHIP – our faith thrives in community, where we worship, serve, learn and grow together, fulfilling God’s purposes as part of God’s family.

Pray:

Abba Father, we live in a world that bombards us with questions. In this questioning, we often forget how Your simplistic guidance clears the air of confusion. We are grateful that You are not silent when it comes to Your purpose and plan. We seek Your guidance as we minister to those around us. Empower us, by Your Holy Spirit, to showcase Your God-colours and God-flavours, so that others can taste and see that You are good and glorify You as the only true God. Guard us against living a selfish life and help us to understand that the only life worth living is a life lived in close, intimate fellowship with You, our Lord. May we experience the life of abundance that comes from knowing You and making You known to those around us. In Jesus name, we pray.

Lord, we humbly seek Your guidance as we search for meaning and purpose in our lives. We acknowledge that without You, our pursuit of purpose feels empty and unfulfilled. Guide us to understand that our true purpose is found in serving, honouring and worshipping You with all our hearts. Help us discover the unique calling You have placed on each of our lives, and give us the courage to pursue it with unwavering faith and devotion. May our lives reflect Your love and truth, and may we find joy and fulfilment in living according to Your will. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
