Within Reach of God’s Loving Touch!
Read:
Mark 5:25–29 (NIV): “And a woman was there who had been subject to bleeding for twelve years. She had suffered a great deal under the care of many doctors and had spent all she had, yet instead of getting better she grew worse. When she heard about Jesus, she came up behind Him in the crowd and touched His cloak, because she thought, “If I just touch His clothes, I will be healed.” Immediately her bleeding stopped and she felt in her body that she was freed from her suffering.”
Act:
Let us be determined this week to:
Always remain within 1-meter proximity of Jesus! By drawing near to Him through prayer, worship, His Word and a community of believers, we cultivate a deep, intimate relationship with our Lord and gain insight into His heart. This closeness allows us to grasp how wide and long and high and deep His love for us is, how indescribable His will for our lives is, how steadfast His guidance and direction is and how He comforts and transforms us through His immense power and perfect peace.
Surrender all to Jesus! We do not need to bear the weight of our burdens alone. He has the power to resolve our problems, heal our wounds, and make us whole. He knows our needs even before we voice them. All we need to do is reach out and trust Him, for whom nothing is impossible. By immersing ourselves in God’s Word, in a fervent prayer life, embracing our Lord’s boundless love and waiting patiently on God’s perfect peace, we will find rest and reassurance in His promises. Regardless of whether we receive the answers or outcomes we seek, may we find contentment and joy simply in being in His presence, knowing that His plans for us are for our good and His glory.
So, let us keep our eyes firmly set on God, focusing our hearts and minds on Him above all else, and continuously placing our hope and faith in Him alone.
Pray:
So, Father, we thank You that today we can press toward and acknowledge You as King of kings and Lord of lords, that You have this robe of righteousness, this cloak that is dipped in blood, Your blood that washes us cleaner and cleaner as snow. Father, I thank You that we can have this faith to press through every circumstance and touch You. Father, this touch signals that we need You, that we are desperate for You and that You are the only answer to whatever we need. And we thank You for that. In Jesus’ name.
Lord, forgive us for allowing the troubles of life to trouble us and to trouble our hearts. Help us to trust You when everything seems a mess. We want to experience the peace of God in every area of our lives. Give us grace to trust in You more and more so that we continually choose faith over fear and that we can abound in Your love and Your peace. In Jesus’ name, we pray.
Father, thank You so much that we can trust You with the things in our lives. Thank You for being patient with us. Thank You that You love us. Let us not be passive in the waiting but actively partner with You to see transformation and growth, committing ourselves to the preparation and growth You’re busy within our lives. And I pray for fresh, new hope, faith, and trust. In Jesus’ name.
Dear Lord, thank You for always giving us everything that we need to complete the race. You give us examples through the Bible, through our own life and our family, to know how to live life to the fullest. Moreover, You give us Jesus Christ. Let us help each other as You help us to focus on Jesus and on Him alone, to keep our eyes on the things that really matter. You are with us. You guide us through life and we want to thank You for that every single day. Amen.
