W@W WRAP – Week 406

JESUS – Our Saviour, Bridegroom and Lord! – C.S. Lewis once said, “The central Christian belief is that Christ’s death has somehow put us right with God and given us a fresh start.” This statement beautifully captures the heart of the Gospel, which is not only about sin and forgiveness but also about grace, new life and transformation through Christ. The Gospel is centred on Jesus, our Saviour, Bridegroom and Lord, where the focus shifts from guilt and condemnation to His love, sacrifice, and the freedom He offers through redemption and resurrection. (Romans 3:23–24, 2 Corinthians 5:17 & Galatians 2:20)

W@W WRAP – Week 405

Eternal Hope! – C.S. Lewis wisely observed, “All that is not eternal is eternally useless.” This powerful perspective encourages us to look beyond the immediate and material things of this world that are seen, fleeting and temporary and to focus on that which is unseen, everlasting and true (2 Corinthians 4:18). By fixing our eyes on the eternal, the things that last forever, we align our hearts with God's promises and find the strength to face life’s challenges with unwavering faith and hope. (John 11:25–26)

W@W WRAP – Week 367

Paying the Price! – In today's world, everything comes with a price tag, including things like a cup of coffee, a piece of land, or a gift for a loved one. But have you ever wondered about the cost of following Jesus? When we look back at the lives of those who have gone before us, like Mary, Joseph, Abraham and Moses or modern-day figures like A.W. Tozer, Charles Spurgeon or C.S. Lewis, we see that they were willing to follow God's plan for their lives, even when it meant paying a high price. This leads us to an important question: Are we also willing to pay the price to follow Jesus? (Galatians 2:20 & 1 Peter 1:3)

W@W WRAP – Week 319

When the Storms of Life are Raging – When the storms of life rage, and we cry for answers, and no answers seem to come, what do we do? May we run to our Heavenly Father, submitting to Him and seeking His direction. May we ask Him to give us the wisdom, grace and strength to persevere and relinquish all that weighs us down, so that we can be set free! Our challenges do not catch Him off-guard. Let us stand firm on the truth of who God is and not neglect His Word or our time spent with Him. Let us boldly ask Him to use our challenges to bring about a great harvest – for His glory and the advancement of His Kingdom. (James 1:2-3)

W@W WRAP – Week 303

What’s in a Name? – When you were born, your mom and dad gave you a name. When someone calls that name, you look to hear what they have to say to you! People know you by your name! How exciting that Our Lord has many names, all of which reflect His character and being. Those names reassure us about who He personally wants to be in our lives! He says of Himself: “I AM WHO I AM, God Almighty, your Provider, your Comforter, your Refuge and Strength, your Deliverer, your Salvation, your Hope, your Friend who never leaves you, the Alpha and Omega, the Beginning and the End…” and so much more! (Genesis 17:1 & Exodus 3:14)

W@W WRAP – Week 246

Re-surrender for fresh transformation! – May we allow our Heavenly Father to make us new – purifying our hearts so that we reflect and glorify Him in all we do. May we be obedient in giving of our ‘little’, knowing that He can multiply it for His Kingdom purposes! May we sacrifice the things in our lives that are holding us back from serving God whole-heartedly. And may we be reminded that as we spend time in our Lord’s presence, He fills us with eternal hope, and equips us to share His LOVE, PEACE and TRUTH with the world around us. (Romans 12:1)

W@W WRAP – Week 245

Hope, patience and prayer… – Let’s trade our worried and anxious thoughts for God’s perfect peace, as we put our HOPE in Him today! Let us not grow weary or impatient during our waiting seasons, but rather immerse ourselves in God’s Word – our source of hope and truth. May we give thanks in all circumstances. May we stand steadfast – praying bold prayers that impact and revive those around us! (Romans 12:12)

W@W WRAP – Week 244

In the light of His peace, glory and grace! – My prayer for us today is: May we long to live purposeful lives that are fully committed to loving God. May we be grateful for God’s perfect peace that surpasses all understanding. May we remain anchored in God’s Word, faithfully trusting in His promises and obediently stepping into the places He calls us to! May we rejoice in knowing that our lives are built on a rock-solid foundation – Jesus Christ our Lord! (Philippians 4:4-9)

W@W WRAP – Week 189

Praising God regardless… - Let us not react to current circumstances, but respond with worship and thanksgiving towards our Heavenly Father for His mercy, goodness, faithfulness, nearness, direction, provision, kindness, grace, unfailing love and blessings! May we reject the prevailing voices and opinions that are based only on external, visible realities; and instead go back to God’s Word (the Bible) as our foundation and only source of truth! And, may we pray like never before! (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18)

W@W WRAP – Week 116

To You be the glory and power forever… - Leslie Bennett so profoundly stated during our January Webinar that: “Prayer is a process of turning from being overwhelmed by our problems and underwhelmed by Christ… to turning to being overwhelmed by Christ and underwhelmed by our problems”. In layman’s terms – keeping our prayers – our eyes and focus on Jesus!
