In the light of His peace, glory and grace!

Read:

Philippians 4:4-9 (NIV): “Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.”

Let us be determined this week to:

Think about what is most important to us in this life. May we remember today that our basic purpose in life is simply to love God wholeheartedly – to seek Him first in everything, and cling to Him with our entire being. Let us choose today to live a God-first life – loving God and glorifying Him in all we do.

Rejoice in our Lord. Let us praise God for filling our hearts and minds with His perfect peace. Let us be grateful for a glorious inheritance in and through Jesus. Let us give thanks to our Heavenly Father for the Holy Spirit’s power and wisdom within us – to guard our hearts and give direction to our lives.

Build our lives on a solid Godly foundation. Let’s go back to God’s Word as our foundation – our refuge – our truth map. May we assess our hearts and minds to determine whether our lives are truly rooted and built upon Jesus. May we be anchored in our faith and committed to loving and serving God – as we obediently follow His calling.

Pray:

Father God, thank You so much for the opportunity that You have given to us to love You. Thank You so much for the love that You have lavished upon our lives. Father, we want to confess that we so often fall short of Your standard of love. We so often fail to love You and to love others as we love ourselves. We ask for a fresh outpouring of Your Holy Spirit who would enable us to love You as we should, and others as ourselves.

Father, I thank You that You want to give us Your peace that surpasses all understanding in every situation. I pray for every one of us – that we will put everything that is a problem to us aside, and that we will look upon You and experience Your peace in every situation.

Dear Lord, thank You for being our Rock and for providing us with Your Word as a firm foundation to stand on. Thank You for sealing us in, like You did with Noah; and for giving us the peace that transcends all understanding, no matter what is happening around us. God, You know our individual lives – You know what’s going on around us. Thank You for being that solid foundation and that rock in our lives. Thank You for reminding us through Your Word that no matter what happens around us, You will always be our foundation.

Father, we are unable to do anything out of our own strength, but through You – the faithful One – we achieve great things. You empower us and enable us to keep winning. Father, we cannot overcome the giants; we cannot overcome the big cities of Jericho… but You can. We find that as we walk in You and with You, we see great breakthrough. We are able to cross borders into the destinies that You have prepared for us. And through it all, dear Lord, thank You that we can bring the glory to You, and celebrate who You are, our great God! To You be the glory and all of the love of our hearts, in Jesus’ mighty name. Amen.
