W@W WRAP – Week 373

The Foundational Truth – Even though we may go through seasons when the fig tree doesn't blossom and the vines seem to have no fruit, when the weight of this world feels unbearable, we can rejoice in our Lord's steadfast love, faithfulness and guidance. God's Word is a beacon of hope that radiates strength, encouragement and wisdom when we need it most. Let us earnestly seek God's will through an intimate relationship with Him and obediently follow where He leads us. Today, let us declare and hold onto this foundational truth: "If God is for us, nothing can ever stand against us." (Proverbs 3:5-6; Hebrews 4:12; Luke 22:42)

W@W WRAP – Week 372

God's Unconditional, Sacrificial, Never-Ending Love! – In life, we often face daunting challenges that can be difficult to overcome. Whether it's fear, doubt, loss, injustice, or mistakes that we make, these obstacles can shake us to our core. However, amidst these trials, there is one thing we can be assured of: God's unconditional, sacrificial, never-ending love. God's sovereignty is an anchor in our lives, and we can trust that His unwavering faithfulness will always prevail. His love is not based on our actions or worthiness but flows freely from His very nature. God's love knows no boundaries and reaches all people, regardless of our past, present or future. (Romans 8:38-39)

W@W WRAP – Week 367

Paying the Price! – In today's world, everything comes with a price tag, including things like a cup of coffee, a piece of land, or a gift for a loved one. But have you ever wondered about the cost of following Jesus? When we look back at the lives of those who have gone before us, like Mary, Joseph, Abraham and Moses or modern-day figures like A.W. Tozer, Charles Spurgeon or C.S. Lewis, we see that they were willing to follow God's plan for their lives, even when it meant paying a high price. This leads us to an important question: Are we also willing to pay the price to follow Jesus? (Galatians 2:20 & 1 Peter 1:3)

W@W WRAP – Week 366

Fuelled by Jesus’ Love in 2024! – A ‘love story’ has been written that reaches from eternity to eternity. This story begins with, "In the beginning God" and ends with the affirmation that our Lord, the Great I Am, the Alpha and Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End, and the Bright Morning Star is not only coming soon again, but is with us always! This story is about our Father in Heaven's amazing and unconditional love towards us, His creation. His love is so great and deep that He gave us His perfect and gracious Son, our Prince of Peace, the Light of this World, the Way, the Truth, and the Life so that we may be part of ‘the greatest love story’ ever written. As we turn the pages and allow God to write our 2024 chapters, may each word, emotion, action, pause, doubt and thought be fuelled by Jesus' LOVE for us! (Isaiah 43:1-2 & Romans 5:8)

W@W WRAP – Week 365

Our Father in Heaven, please guide our steps in 2024… – As we approach the end of 2023 and look forward to a new year, I would like to propose some questions for us to consider. How have you impacted and influenced the lives of others this year through God's guidance? How can you make yourself more available to pursue your calling and make a difference in the new year? What needs has God met for you this year? How has He been faithful to you in the past, and how does that strengthen your expectations for what is to come? Do you feel optimistic about the future, or do you have some doubts and a touch of despondency? What disciplines, habits, attitudes and practices will you continue, and which ones do you need to let go of? The list could go on, but most importantly, let us remember that even though we may reflect on 2023 and plan for 2024, God ultimately determines, directs and establishes our every step. (Proverbs 3:5-6 & 16:9)

W@W WRAP – Week 363

Being Grateful – It's amazing how our Creator grants us the freedom to choose how we live. We can either spend our days complaining about the things that haven't gone our way, or we can adopt an attitude of gratitude and thank God for all we have been blessed with. Many people we encounter on life's journey always complain about something – be it their job, their family or friends, how others treat them, their living conditions, their government, and so on. As followers of Jesus, however, we are called to live differently. Our Lord has made it very clear that we should look at each situation from His perspective and give thanks for what we have and the lessons we learn through each circumstance we face as we draw closer to Him. (Psalm 100:1-5)

W@W WRAP – Week 361

Our Only Constant! – We live in a world that is constantly changing. There are changes in political parties, weather patterns, interest rates, inflation, our health, relationships, finances and jobs, among other things. However, knowing that our God remains constant and unchanging is a wonderful truth. He has been the same yesterday, today, and will be the same tomorrow. In this ever-changing life, our Lord is our guide and anchor through all the inevitable changes that we experience. (Malachi 3:6)

W@W WRAP – Week 358

A Different Perspective… – Have you ever wondered if your view of life differs from others? Do you often find yourself getting caught up in various perspectives, opinions, and the pains of this world, instead of seeing them from God's point of view? Let us ask our Lord today to help us redirect our thoughts towards Him and allow His Word to transform us. May we experience His unwavering faithfulness and boundless compassion, as we remain in Him, our source of hope, restoration, love and peace. (Lamentations 3:22-23)

W@W WRAP – Week 350

Set Apart as Holy Vessels – Have you ever stopped to consider that God has set you apart to accomplish something that only you can? You are unique. God made you special. As we read God's Word, we learn that being 'holy' means being set apart for God’s purpose. Only through our belief in Jesus Christ as our personal Saviour are we made holy. From that moment on, we become useful to God to fulfil the tasks that He has set before us. The amazing part is that He gives us instructions in His Word and through His Spirit equips us to navigate through life, becoming honourable vessels for His glory! (2 Timothy 2:21-25)
