Our Only Constant! – We live in a world that is constantly changing. There are changes in political parties, weather patterns, interest rates, inflation, our health, relationships, finances and jobs, among other things. However, knowing that our God remains constant and unchanging is a wonderful truth. He has been the same yesterday, today, and will be the same tomorrow. In this ever-changing life, our Lord is our guide and anchor through all the inevitable changes that we experience. (Malachi 3:6)

What is the world coming to? – Have you ever looked at the world around you and felt confused about what's happening? There's a lot of division among our leaders, families, and even friends. It's sad to see that we've lost the joy we once had in being together. It feels like evil is winning, the weather is unpredictable, and the world is lacking peace. It can be overwhelming and disorienting. However, God has warned us about what to expect as we come closer to the end of this earth. He has promised to be with us, to heal our brokenness, to give us freedom, and to guide us as we follow Him and His ways. (2 Timothy 3:1-6 & Matthew 6:32-33)

Never Give Up! – Do you ever feel tempted to give up? Following Christ in today's world is difficult. It is oftentimes, to say the least, defeating to our spirits. Living for Jesus may even be 'life-threatening' in some countries. So why not just give in to the ways of the world? Everyone else seems to be doing just fine? But, as children of God, we know in our hearts that we have a higher calling. Our Lord Jesus determines our steps. May we never give up on the hope we have, and never give in to worry, anxiety or fear. We can trust that our good and faithful God knows exactly what we need and where to send us. (Luke 12:22-32)

Hopeful Expectation! – Even though we face multiple challenges, there is always a spark of hope! Even in the depths of despair, even on discouraging days, we can know that our Lord is faithful. We have seen Him work before, and He will never disappoint us! We read in His Holy Word of the miracles He has performed since the beginning of time. We are loved by the God who created us, so why even question this? We can always have hope and great expectation for what God is doing in and through our lives! (Lamentations 3:18-25)

Intentionally Following Jesus! – It is always a conscious decision to follow Jesus intentionally. We don't just stumble upon it. When we make that eternity-changing choice to submit our lives to Jesus, we understand that giving our lives to Him means that we receive it back in marvellous ways beyond our understanding. That is the amazing paradox of being a dedicated disciple and proclaiming that the Lord Almighty is our strong foundation and our King of glory for all eternity. (Luke 9:23-26)

Being wise, being salt, being light… – May we ask our Lord for wisdom in all that we do! May our lives be used to make a difference in the world, as we grow in our intimacy with Him. May we ask Him to continuously fill us with His kindness, peace and love, so that our saltiness may flavour the world around us with who He is! Through love and unity, may we display God’s goodness, faithfulness and compassion to a desperate world! Let’s shine our lights, so others will stand in absolute awe of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. (Proverbs 1:7)
