Thank you, Jesus!
Read and Act:
The most wonderful time of the year… Our amazing Heavenly Father blessed us with a dark night, for us to experience the brightest star in the sky, our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. How magnificent, how extraordinary, how beautiful, how profound. The Light of the world! The greatest gift we could ever receive. A silent night, a holy night… peace, grace and salvation.
Today, let’s worship Jesus and allow His Light in us to bring hope, love and peace into our homes, our families, our churches, and a lost world. Let’s make our Redeemer and King the focal point of our Christmas celebrations. Let’s glorify Him as our Lord of lords and King of kings, as we reflect on the eternal love, hope, grace, peace and joy that He has brought into the world and into our lives.
John 3:16 (NKJV): For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Thank You, Jesus.
Pray:
Liewe Jesus, vandag wil ons net vir U dankie sê, dankie vir U opoffering om vir ons ‘n hoop en ‘n toekoms te gee. Ons het U so lief!!! Ons is so geseënd om U geboorte vandag te vier!
Heavenly Father, thank You for sending us the precious gift of Jesus to come and light up the world. Thank You Jesus, for lighting up our lives and thank You in turn, that You equip us to be Light for the world. May we honour You this Christmas, as You are so worthy! We ask You to use us as beacons of hope in this time.
Heavenly Father, we thank You for Your Son, Jesus Christ. I pray, Lord that our eyes will be focused on Him, and Him alone. That we will not be distracted by presents and decorations and all those other things, but that we will keep our focus Him. He is where our help will come from, where our salvation is found. Be with us today, Lord and be glorified in our lives.
Lord Jesus, we love You, and we honour You. All praise belongs to You! Yours Lord, is the power and the majesty and the splendour. Yours Lord is the Kingdom, now and forever. We love You and give thanks and praise to Your glorious name.
Lord Jesus, from our most early remembrances of Christmas, we can see in our mind’s eye, the characters of the Nativity – whether in our homes, our churches, or on the lawns of our communities. Most importantly, Lord may those thoughts take us to the moment in time when the meaning of the birth of Jesus became real to us. May we remember the moment of our salvation, the moment we accepted the humble sacrifice of Jesus as the one who paid for our sins on the cross. As believers, we celebrate the birth of Jesus every day, not just one day a year. Lord, if anyone is listening to this message, and has not yet asked the Lord Jesus to forgive their sins and become their personal Saviour, may this be the moment for them. May they know from this moment on that the Christmas message changes from just another ‘story’ to their story of redemption. May they experience Christmas and life with new meaning and purpose. They are forgiven! Thank you for sending Jesus, as a baby in a manger, to live and to die on our behalf, so that we might have life eternal. We love you, LORD! Merry Christmas!
In Jesus’ precious name,
Amen.
Amen.
