W@W WRAP – Week 416

Enter into the Rest of Jesus – In the midst of life’s busyness and stress, it is vital to embrace spiritual rhythms that draw us closer to God and restore His peace within us. By intentionally setting aside moments for silence, solitude, prayer, worship, scripture reading, gratitude, and fellowship, we create space to experience the fullness of our Lord’s presence. This festive season, let us step into the rest Jesus offers by quieting our hearts, trusting in His promises, and rejoicing in His presence. Let us remember that from rest flows restoration, and from restoration comes renewed strength, peace and hope. As we celebrate the birth of our Saviour, may His peace fill our hearts and His joy renew our spirits. May we dwell in the rest of Jesus, knowing that His love and faithfulness sustain us now and forever. (Matthew 11:28–30 & Psalm 23)

W@W WRAP – Week 363

Being Grateful – It's amazing how our Creator grants us the freedom to choose how we live. We can either spend our days complaining about the things that haven't gone our way, or we can adopt an attitude of gratitude and thank God for all we have been blessed with. Many people we encounter on life's journey always complain about something – be it their job, their family or friends, how others treat them, their living conditions, their government, and so on. As followers of Jesus, however, we are called to live differently. Our Lord has made it very clear that we should look at each situation from His perspective and give thanks for what we have and the lessons we learn through each circumstance we face as we draw closer to Him. (Psalm 100:1-5)

W@W WRAP – Week 360

In Awe of You! – The Bible mentions 'Fearing our Lord', 'Seeking moments of Silence' and 'Expressing our Gratitude' several times. But what do these phrases mean, and how do we apply them to our daily lives? When we consider the power, love, unselfish care, goodness and faithfulness of our Heavenly Father, we realise He is worthy of our respect, reverence and praise. It should indeed cause us to tremble and fall on our knees before our King of kings and Lord of lords in awe-inspiring wonder, worshipping Him in the splendour of His holiness. So, let us rejoice today, for great is our God! (1 Chronicles 16:23-29)

W@W WRAP – Week 357

What am I really worth? – Looking at ourselves against worldly standards can easily lead to discouragement, impatience and doubts about our worth and value here on earth. However, when we shift our perspective to that of God, who created each of us, we realise that we are of the highest value. Being made in His very own image, we are valued more than silver or gold in His eyes. As such, we can trust in God's divine plan, rejoice in the knowledge that He prizes nothing in His creation above us, and count our blessings one by one. (1 Corinthians 3:18-23)

W@W WRAP – Week 343

Giving Thanks to our Lord Always! – How often are we intentionally grateful for the things and people in our lives? Are we able to give thanks even during times of struggle and doubt? Our Lord tells us that in Him there is life, grace and strength, even on days when we don't understand what is going on. By recommitting our lives to Him and seeking a closer relationship with Him, we can find comfort, rest and joy. It's His breath that gives us life, so may we pour out our praises and glorify our Father in Heaven, now and always! (Psalm 100:4 & 1 Thessalonians 5:18)

W@W WRAP – Week 263

Pausing to say Thank You! – We so easily fall into the trap of taking acts of kindness for granted. We may even neglect to notice the many blessings we receive from our Heavenly Father. We become entitled, expecting ¬¬certain things and becoming unhappy when we don’t receive them. How often do we take the time to sincerely say, 'thank you,' to God and others? Gratitude is not just something we practice as a polite gesture. Genuine gratitude changes our hearts to love more fully, our minds to be more sincere and humble, and our attitudes to value others and give thanks to our Heavenly Father. (Ephesians 1:16)

Hope-filled, Grateful, Flourishing hearts… - My prayer for us today is that God will fill us afresh with His joy, peace and hope that truly transcend all understanding… That He will give us the strength to persevere despite obstacles, and live hope-filled lives that brim over with thanksgiving and praise. Let’s worship our Lord for His direction, compassion, promises and blessings over our lives! May we bloom in and out of season, so that we may grow into all He created us to be – for His glory! (Romans 15:13)

Our God of endless hope! - Jesus has come so that we can have life and have it in abundance. At some point, we all face seemingly impossible or daunting situations. During those times, it may appear that there is no way out, or no way forward… BUT with God there is always HOPE! He can breathe LIFE and bring RESTORATION! He is FAITHFUL to His promises – and we can truly TRUST in our God of endless HOPE! (Ephesians 1:17-19)
