Our God of Endless Hope!
Read:
Ephesians 1:17-19 (NIV): “I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know Him better. I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which He has called you, the riches of His glorious inheritance in His holy people, and His incomparably great power for us who believe”.
Act:
Let us be determined this week to:
Have hearts of gratitude. Every day is a gift of grace. Let our hearts always be seeking the goodness and blessings that God desires to lavish on us. He promises that: He will never leave us nor forsake us (Deuteronomy 31:6); His goodness, mercy and grace will follow us all the days of our lives (Psalm 23:6); and His plans and purposes are being worked out for our good (Romans 8:28). When we seek Him, we will find hope, peace, grace and love that transcends all understanding. Regardless of our situation, may our hearts always be filled with gratitude and our lips with thanksgiving, as we know that God will draw near to us when we call upon Him (Jeremiah 29:13)!
Live through the power of the Holy Spirit. Let our hearts be filled with joy, knowing that through the gift of the Holy Spirit, there are ALWAYS new things to learn, discover and unpack about the greatness of our Father God; and about how to be a blessing to those around us. Let’s not get stuck in what we see in our current circumstances, but rather be transformed through a Godly, Spirit-filled view of our world, so that we can add value to every situation we encounter.
Trust our God of endless hope. God is good and as our Creator and Father, He has our best interests at heart. Let us ask and expect Him to fill us with His life-giving joy as we surrender our lives and let Him move in and through us. “Let us hold fast to the confession of our HOPE, without wavering, as we know the One who promised is FAITHFUL…” (Hebrews 10:23).
Pray:
Dear God, thank You that we can all come together in Your name and pray together. We often forget how much we have to be thankful for. Thank You for all of the blessings that you shower upon us every day. Thank You that we can know that You keep Your promises. We thank You for Your Word and Your Son, whom You sent to die for us on the cross. Lord, we ask that You send Your Holy Spirit to work in our hearts, and to remind us of everything we can be grateful for, so that we can live in ways that glorify You and bring others closer to You. Thank You for each person listening to this call, will You bless them so that they can be a blessing to others. Lord, we want to thank You and be grateful no matter our circumstances, because of Your love, goodness and promises. (Welmarie)
Father, today I thank You for Your Word. Thank You that we can trust You. Help us to walk in the ways of Your Word. Help us to start seeing ourselves as You see us – as Your beloved. You rejoice over us with singing. May we start seeing the promises that You have given us come into fulfilment. (Martie)
Abba Father, thank You for giving us the fulness of Your Spirit. We praise You and we glorify Your name. Thank You for teaching us through Your Spirit to listen, and to listen carefully. Help us to walk in Your Spirit. (Ina)
O Father God, we just thank You so much that we can trust You, that we can believe in You, and that we can have great expectations that you will show up. Thank You for hearing every single word that comes from our mouths, every cry of our hearts. You do hear and listen, and You do move, and we are so grateful for that. I am so glad that it is Your will that comes through and not mine, because my plan is not one that works out perfectly like Yours. (Tracey)
“My Jesus, My Savior, Lord there is no one like You. All of my days, I want to praise the wonders of Your mighty love. My Comfort, my Shelter, tower of Refuge and Strength, let every breath, all that I am never cease to worship You. O sing Hallelujah! Our hope springs eternal. O sing Hallelujah! Now and forever we confess Christ our hope in life and death.” Amen. (Karine)
Amen.
(This WRAP is with great appreciation towards Martie, Ina, Welmarie, Karine and Tracey)
