What is your Why? Have you ever stopped and wondered why you react, respond or make certain choices? Are your choices motivated by love or fear? It is crucial for us to reflect on our 'why'! Thankfully, our Lord Jesus guides us in this vital aspect of our lives. W@W WRAP – Week 340

Light in the Darkness… Have you ever experienced a power outage at your home or your business? It can be a frustrating and disorienting experience, especially at night when everything goes pitch black. Many in South Africa and other parts of the world endure power cuts daily, so others can have electricity. This is a great reminder of our spiritual calling to shine our lights in the darkness that is so prevalent in today's world. May we be a people who live and walk in the light of Jesus, and who lead others out of darkness and into the loving, gracious arms of our faithful Heavenly Father. (James 1:17)

W@W WRAP – Week 339

Where does my help come from? – Do you ever run into challenges and feel like you have nowhere to turn? While family and friends are a wonderful source of strength and wisdom, they are also frail – and often in need themselves. Where then shall we look? May our first response always be to look to our Lord, Who tells us over and over again in His Word that He will be our help, if we will but ask. He has all the strength, power, wisdom and love we need. We can always count on Him and He is only a prayer away. (Psalm 27:1-5)

W@W WRAP – Week 338

Rejoice in the Lord always! – The Bible frequently encourages us to “rejoice in the Lord." Finding joy in our faith can bring immense peace and gratitude into our lives. This involves a recognition that God is the ultimate source of our strength, hope and love. When we find joy in the Lord, it deepens our relationship with Him and strengthens our faith. It inspires us to live holy, sacrificial lives that bring glory to our Heavenly Father. It motivates us to share that joy with others, and carry out the good work that God has called us to do. This joy is not dependent on external circumstances. Instead, it springs from the unconditional love, saving grace, and never-ending kindness and mercies of God. (Philippians 4:4 & Psalm 71:23)

A Song of Joy from the Ruins! – Have you ever found yourself in a situation where it looks impossible for anything good to come out of it? Whether it's relationships, health issues, finances, or struggles in our spiritual lives, it is sometimes tough to see the light at the end of the tunnel. However, we can find hope and joy in knowing that our Lord promises to bring 'restoration from ruins.' Throughout His Word, He reminds us that putting our trust in Him will yield Godly answers to our dilemmas. Although the answers may not always suit our preferences or timing, we can know that God's plan is always perfect. (Jeremiah 33:10-11)

Running our Earthly Race Together! – Have you ever felt like you're running in a different direction to the rest of the world? If so, you're not alone. God has given us His Word to guide us on our earthly journey, and has blessed us with Godly friends to learn from, pray for, and love. Instead of following the world's ways, let's seek to understand God's ways. Rather than avoiding changes and challenges, let's embrace them. By enduring, we can find joy, grow in our faith, bring glory to God, and lead others to Jesus. (Matthew 5:3-10)

Trusting in God's plan... – Do you ever find yourself struggling to understand God's plan for your life? It's common to feel uncertain about what His perfect will is for us. However, it's important to take a step back from the busyness of our lives and shift our focus to Jesus. When we look at things from God's perspective, we can gain a better understanding of His plan and see the bigger picture. We can trust that, in due time, He will work everything together for our good and to bring glory to His name. (Jeremiah 17:7-8)

W@W WRAP – Week 299

Purpose in the process – You have possibly experienced going to an optometrist or eye doctor – whether for a test, glasses, contacts, or surgery to restore your eyesight to what they call 20/20 vision. That is 'normal vision' in which a person can see an object clearly from 20 feet away. Today, let's consider what we will call 50/20 vision. In Genesis 50:20, Joseph looks back over things that happened throughout his life, and sees how God worked even the negative experiences for good. There is always purpose in the process. What is your perspective of your past, and of today; and how do you see your tomorrows? May we always stand in awe of our amazing Heavenly Father and count our blessings one by one! (Genesis 50:15-21)
