God is everywhere!
Read:
Psalm 139:7-10 (NIV): “Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence? If I go up to the heavens, you are there; if I make my bed in the depths, you are there. If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea, even there your hand will guide me, your right hand will hold me fast”.
Act:
Let us be determined this week to believe that GOD IS EVERYWHERE:
The word omnipresence means that God is everywhere at once. The word present implies here, there, near, in attendance, next to, or close to. The prefix omni means all or universal. If God is everywhere at once, it means there is no limit to God. Zophar explains it like this in Job 11:7-9 (MSG): “God is far higher than you can imagine, far deeper than you can comprehend, stretching farther than earth’s horizons, far wider than the endless ocean.”
Let’s believe wholeheartedly that God’s omnipresence enables us to:
Persevere through life’s experiences. Regardless of where we go or what we do, we have the assurance that God is there (Psalm 16:8). What joy it brings to know that God is always there to celebrate the good with us (Psalm 147:11). And what assurance it brings to know that He will never leave nor forsake us (Deuteronomy 31:6), that He is there to guide us through the storms of life, comfort us in sorrow and provide for us in our hour of need (Psalm 107).
Enjoy happy, fulfilled lives. There is no challenge, circumstance, situation, location, problem or even the smallest frustration that God is not aware of. He sees us (Genesis 16:13–14) and knows us through and through (Romans 8:27). There is no hiding from God (Jonah 1:3). He is everywhere and knows everything – the good and bad, our joys and sorrows, strengths and weaknesses, intentions and motives. The truth is that God is here and God is light! That means that He is here to help us, and that His light penetrates and overcomes all darkness. As children of God we are therefore free to live in the fullness of His grace, favour and love!
See Him in everything. When you look around, do you see God? Perhaps you see Him in nature, in the eyes of your child, or in the act of a stranger? God is everywhere and close to everything. Let’s pay attention to looking out for God and with grateful hearts thank Him for the big and small things in our lives.
Pray:
Father God, thank You that we are never alone, that You are here right now, that You will be there tomorrow. You are close to everything and in You we move and live and have our being (Acts 17:28). Thank You that there is no limit to Your presence. May we never cease to seek You first in all we do. In Your presence is fullness of joy (Psalm 16:11). What a pleasure to know that You are with us, forever. Amen.
