When “I Am” is Enough: Finding unshakable confidence in our Eternal God

Read:

John 8:58 (NIV): “Before Abraham was born, I am!”

Exodus 3:12 (NIV): “I will be with you.”

Hebrews 13:8 (NIV): “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.”

Let us be determined this week to:

Build our confidence on God’s character. Our confidence rises and falls when it depends on us. It becomes unshakable when it rests on the Eternal I AM. Confidence grows when our eyes move from ourselves to God.

Remember that God’s presence is His promise. God did not promise Moses an easy journey. He promised His presence. The greatest promise we have is not that life will always be simple, but that Jesus will always be with us. Where the Great I AM is present, fear loses its authority.

Rest in the God who never changes. Everything around us changes. Circumstances change. People change. Our emotions change. But Jesus remains the same yesterday, today, and forever. Our peace is anchored, not because life is certain, but because Christ is unchanging.

Trust God’s sufficiency instead of our ability. God never asks us to be enough on our own. He simply asks us to trust the One who is. Every calling He gives is accompanied by His grace. God never calls us to a place where His presence cannot sustain us.

Live from worship, not worry. When we truly behold who God is, our problems find their proper perspective. The bigger God becomes in our hearts, the smaller our fears become. A heart filled with awe leaves little room for anxiety.

Pray:

Lord Jesus, You are the Eternal I AM. The One who was before all things, who holds all things together, and who remains forever faithful. Forgive us for the times we have looked more at our weaknesses than at Your greatness. Lift our eyes again.

Teach us to anchor our confidence in Your unchanging character rather than our changing circumstances. When we feel inadequate, remind us that You are enough. When we feel uncertain, remind us that You are with us. When we feel weary, remind us that You never grow tired. Help us to trust You more deeply, worship You more fully, and walk more confidently because of who You are. May our lives declare that our hope is not found in ourselves, but in the Eternal I AM.

For You alone are worthy of our trust, our worship, and our whole hearts.

 Remember: Faith does not begin by believing more in ourselves. It begins by beholding more of the Great I AM. When He becomes greater in our eyes, fear becomes smaller in our hearts. So, let’s lift our eyes. Rest in God’s presence. Trust His promises. And walk confidently, because the Eternal I AM goes before us, walks beside us, and remains within us.
