Our secure foundation…

Read:

Psalm 18:30-33 (NIV): “For who is God besides the Lord? And who is the Rock except our God? It is God who arms me with strength and keeps my way secure. He makes my feet like the feet of a deer; He causes me to stand on the heights”.

Act:

Let us be determined this week to:

Magnify our Lord’s name wherever we go. There is no God besides our Lord! He goes before us and makes our path straight. He is faithful and His promises are proven to be true. He is our secure shelter in times of need. He is our source of hope and light! He is our secure foundation upon which we can build our lives. He wraps us with love and grace. He is our source of power. He is to be worshiped and adored! Let’s share our Lord’s goodness and faithfulness with others!

Not get stuck in the here and now. Let’s not live for the pleasures of the world we live in – but focus our attention on the big picture. We are created on purpose and for a purpose. We are part of a much bigger story. Let’s allow our Lord to make us stand firm in heavenly places, strong and secure in Him. Let’s allow Him to work in and through us, all to the glory of His name!

Be alert to our Lord’s promptings. Let’s be attentive to the promptings of God’s Spirit living in us. Let’s be devoted to our Lord, putting Him first in everything. Let’s listen for God speaking to us and relaying His messages to those around us. Let’s be the light that shines in dark places.

Pray:

Father God, thank You that You are our strong foundation. Thank You that if we keep our focus on You and run towards You, You’ll give us directions to follow Your ‘road-tested’, straight and smooth path. There is none like You! You are the bedrock beneath our feet. Thank You for holding us firm. Make us alert to Your promptings. Use us as Your messengers, to proclaim the good news wherever we go. All for the glory of Your name! Amen.
