Life-labels…

Song of Songs 1:15: “How beautiful you are, my darling! Oh, how beautiful!”

Act:

Let us be determined this week to:

Believe what our original life-labels say about who we are. Are you influenced by worldly voices telling you that you are not good enough? Not strong enough for the task ahead? Not clever enough to solve the problem? Not rich enough to provide the resource needed? Not patient enough to show love and kindness? Listening to and believing these lies, we so easily lose perspective on who our Heavenly Father says we are. He, Our Creator, didn’t make any mistakes. He visualised and designed our lives; He molded our characters and personalities; He shaped the way we look; and He attached a label that reads: “How beautiful you are, my darling! Oh, how beautiful! You are highly valued. You are my precious child and I love you wholeheartedly!”

Follow our Designer’s instructions for our lives. If we want to know how to operate a car, why would we read the instruction manual of a truck, train or airplane? Let’s stop looking at the lives of others and quit trying to apply their “instruction manuals” to our lives. Our Father God created every person with unique abilities; and each one of us with a special purpose. Let’s spend time with our Lord, living close to Him, and allowing Him to re-create us into the image of all He envisioned us to be.

Pray:

Father God, we worship You in adoration! Thank You that You know us inside and out. Help us to no longer believe the lies of this world or the false labels attached to our lives. Help us to find our true value and worth in You alone. We honour You as the Creator of life. Shape and re-create us to become more and more like You, Jesus. We choose to believe the Truth and we declare today: “Yes Lord, we will follow Your instructions and become all You created us to be!” We love You. Amen.
