Chosen vessels

Read:

Acts 9:15 (NKJV): But the Lord said to him, “Go, for he is a chosen vessel of Mine to bear My name before Gentiles, kings, and the children of Israel”.

Let us be determined this week to:

Live out our calling as God’s chosen vessels. The moment we receive Jesus as our Lord and Saviour, we are equipped with the Holy Spirit to be Jesus’ hands and feet on earth. As God’s beloved and chosen children we’ve been commissioned to go out and make disciples of all nations. Let’s allow God to use us in the way He planned, purposed and desires. Let’s live as chosen vessels, filled with the beauty of the gospel, proclaiming freedom, hope and love everywhere we go. Let’s serve our Lord with gladness.

Be vessels of God’s blessing. In Genesis 12:2, God promises Abraham: “I will make you a great nation, and I will bless you [abundantly], and make your name great [exalted, distinguished]; and you shall be a blessing [a source of great good to others]…” What are we doing with the many blessings we receive from our Heavenly Father daily? Are we so busy that we don’t even recognise them? Or so self-centred that we want to keep them all for ourselves? Let’s recommit to live according to 2 Corinthians 9:8 (AMP): “God is able to make all grace [every favor and earthly blessing] come in abundance to you, so that you may always [under all circumstances, regardless of the need] have complete sufficiency in everything [being completely self-sufficient in Him], and have an abundance for every good work and act of charity”. Let’s be vessels of God’s blessing to others.

Be vessels of God’s glory. Our Father God loves us passionately, He showers us with mercy and kindness. He is faithful and all powerful. He is holy. He has chosen us and calls us His children. Let’s be instruments of praise. Let’s bless and honour our Heavenly Father through worship. Let’s be vessels of God’s glory, shining His love and light to a lost and desperate world!

Pray:

Father God, we glorify You as our Creator, King and Lord. Make us Your vessels. Use us in anyway you desire. Fill us with Your love, grace and glory. Help us to give away generously the grace and blessings that You have showered upon us. You are the one and only God. We give glory to Your name. Let our lives exalt You! Make us Your vessels of blessing and glory! In the mighty name of Jesus we pray. Amen.
