Enter into God’s rest

Read:

Hebrews 4:1 (AMP): “Therefore, while the promise of entering His rest still remains and is freely offered today, let us fear, in case any one of you may seem to come short of reaching it or think he has come too late”.

Act:

Let us be determined this week to:

Enter into God’s rest. Because of Jesus, we are free to enter God’s throne room – to receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need. God’s mercy, grace and love are our only source of true rest; our resting place in the midst of raging storms. What is the condition of your heart? Have you entered into a place of quiet peace, rest, waiting and worship?

Work hard at maintaining an intimate relationship with our Father God. Make time to spend quality, devotional, intimate time with our Father God. The only way to find true rest is to spend time with God, to be in constant communication with Him and to trust Him completely. Let’s completely surrender to Him, passionately pursue knowledge of Him, and yield our free will for the Holy Spirit to lead us in every step!  Let’s grow closer and closer to our Lord.

Give up our control. One of the greatest reasons for not finding rest / peace, is our need to control our circumstances, the people around us, and our entire lives. Let’s take our “own reality” and replace it with the will of our Loving Father. We can trust our Father. He wants the best for us! He longs for us to be content and happy, to be at rest, knowing He has our back.

Not grow restless in waiting, but be patient in prayer! Prayer has power. For our God nothing is impossible – and His timing is perfect. Let’s persevere through prayer and worship. All glory to our Lord God.

Pray:

Father God, You are our only hope. You are merciful and full of grace. You are our only source of  rest! Please bless Us today with your heavenly rest, the peace and source of strength that only You can provide. You know the condition of our hearts, You understand our fears, our questions, our worries… Jesus, today we pray for miraculous restoration of peace and joy in our hearts! Thank You that Your mercy reigns forever, and that Your love endures. Thank You that You are our place of rest, a fountain of living and good water. We love You and praise Your holy name! Amen.
