What does our Father God ask of us?

Read:

Deuteronomy 10:12 (NIV): “And now, Israel, what does the Lord your God ask of you but to fear the Lord your God, to walk in obedience to Him, to love Him, to serve the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul…”

Act:

Let us be determined this week to:

Glorify our great and awesome Lord God. Let’s bring glory to our Father, worshiping and giving praise to Him with awe-filled reverence and profound respect. For He alone is holy. (Revelation 15:3-4)

Follow the road that our Lord has so perfectly crafted for us. Let’s live each and every day aligned with God’s will by: 1) Walking in His ways; 2) Listening for His directions; and 3) Trusting and obeying Him in everything! (Isaiah 30:21)

Love the Lord our God with all our heart and soul (Matthew 22:37). To really love God, we first need to understand and appreciate how the CREATOR of everything first showed His love for us. He divinely designed us, He provides, cares and protects us, and He longs for an intimate relationship with us. Above all, He sent his beloved Son, Jesus, to suffer and die for us and to give us hope and eternal life. (John 3:16) DO YOU TRULY LOVE HIM WITH ALL YOUR BEING?

Submit to God in a way that puts His splendour and supremacy on display. Let’s serve the Lord in all our choices, in our thoughts and with our whole being – for the glory of His Name and the advancement of His Kingdom. (Mark 10:45)

Pray:

Father God, we bless Your holy Name. You are great, all powerful, and majestic. You deserve glory, praise and honour. Everything in heaven and on earth is Yours. Blessing, abundance and favour comes only from You. Thank You that You loved us first. Make us strong to serve You well! We worship Your glorious and almighty Name. Amen. (Paraphrased: 1 Chronicles 29:11-13)
