It’s not too late…
Read:
Joel 2:12 (AMP): “Even now,” says the Lord, “Turn and come to Me with all your heart [in genuine repentance], With fasting and weeping and mourning [until every barrier is removed and the broken fellowship is restored]…”
Act:
Know today that our Father God is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger, abounding in loving-kindness, faithful to act on His promises and eager to save us (Joel 2:13).
Let us be determined this week to:
Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal to us any area in our lives that is keeping us away from God. Let’s ask Him to help us to identify the obstacles, struggles, bad habits, idols – the sin that hinders us – to have an intimate relationship with our Father God. It’s a strategic hour. So, let’s stop neglecting the importance of falling on our knees and wholeheartedly repenting of our sin.
Return to God and set our hearts on Him. Our merciful God has already given us the greatest gift – salvation and the forgiveness of our sin, through Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour (Ephesians 2:8-9). Our patient Lord is waiting with kindness and extravagant love, to cancel all our sin, injustice, and wrongdoing (Isaiah 53:5; Colossians 2:14). Let’s learn from our pasts, lay our sins down and trust our Heavenly Father for everything. When our hearts are set on Him, sin will no longer enslave us (Romans 6:6, 17-18). We will be able to live in the fullness of our Lord’s abundant mercy, love, peace and joy – every barrier being removed and our intimate fellowship with our Heavenly Father restored.
Pray:
Gracious and generous-in-love God, please grant us mercy from your fountain of forgiveness! Holy Spirit, please reveal the sin in our lives that keeps us from drawing close to God. Merciful Lord, please forgive us and wipe out our sins, let your abundant love wash away our bad records and guilt. Father, fill us with Your truth. Give us new and true life! Please wash us clean. Give us a fresh start. Please help us find our way Home. You are our salvation – we give all honour and praise to You!
Amen.
