Divine purpose…

Read:

James 1:17-18 (TPT): “Every gift God freely gives us is good and perfect, streaming down from the Father of lights, who shines from the heavens with no hidden shadow or darkness and is never subject to change. God was delighted to give us birth by the truth of His infallible Word so that we would fulfill His chosen destiny for us and become the favourite ones out of all his creation!”

Act:

Let us be determined this week to:

Utilise our God-given gifts to make a difference. Our Heavenly Father has gifted each one us with unique and divine talents. He, our Creator was intentional when He made us (Ephesians 2:10). He is perfect and therefore cannot make any mistakes (Matthew 5:48). He created and called us for His divine purpose (2 Timothy 1:9). Let’s therefore be intentional about using each one of these amazing gifts and talents He has given us, to glorify Him (Matthew 5:14-16). Let’s use our gifts and talents to add value to others (1 Peter 4:10-11). Let’s stop believing the lies of the enemy, that we are not good enough or clever enough or influential enough or gifted enough to make a difference. What we do with our talents, is ultimately our gift back to God – so let’s advance His Kingdom and glorify Him in all we do.

Shine our heavenly lights to bring freedom, restoration and hope! Jesus calls us the light of the world (Matthew 5:14-16). Jesus is the light of God within us. Let us therefore put the gospel on display to bring freedom from bondage, lies and desperation. As we are lights born from above (John 3:7) – let’s shine so brightly that darkness is penetrated, and love and freedom prevails. Let’s trust that our Lord’s light reflecting through our lives, would cause others to praise and worship our Father in heaven.

Pray:

Father God, thank You for every good and perfect gift from above. Thank You that You are perfect and that You never change. Thank You for the gift of life! Thank You for creating us and calling us to be Your set-apart children. Father, sanctify us! Jesus, show us how to live holy lives according to Your divine purpose for each one of us! May everything we do be for Your glory and the advancement of Your Kingdom. We love You and we bless Your holy name.
