The power of prayer!

Read:

Acts 4:31 (AMP): “And when they had prayed, the place where they were meeting together was shaken [a sign of God’s presence]; and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak the word of God with boldness and courage”.

Act:

If we look at the definition of prayer in its simplest form, it is to offer earnest petition, praise and thanks to God! When we pray, we tell God (or confess to God) that we are dependent on Him – that we really cannot do anything in our own power – and that we need Him to take care of us.

Let us be determined this week to:

Never underestimate the power of prayer! Let’s pray without ceasing and about everything. Let’s be diligent to ask our Father God for His will, direction and provision in our lives (Matthew 7:7-8). Let’s build our prayer-lives on God’s Word and stand firmly on His promises for our every need (John 16:23-24).

Not restrict our prayers based on our own limited thinking, but to base our prayers on Who our Heavenly Father is. He is the Creator of all things! He is almighty, all-powerful and in control of everything. Let’s ask our Lord for boldness and courage to be and do all He created us to be!

Pray for miracles and truly believe that for our Lord, nothing is impossible (Luke 1:37). Imagine how radically different our lives would be if we believe this truth – when we boldly stand firm in our faith. Imagine the miracles we would experience, and the lives we would see transformed if we pray without ceasing – boldly believing that God is on our side and trusting that He will work everything together for us, who love and believe in Him (Romans 8:28).

Pray:

Our Father in Heaven, we bless Your holy name. Thank You that nothing is impossible for You. Father God, we declare our dependence on You. Please take care of us. Fill us with Your Holy Spirit. Give us strength and power for whatever the task or need may be. Father, we believe in Your miracle-working power. We ask for boldness and confidence to live the lives You predestined for us. Please come close to us, as we pray, praise and give You thanks!
Amen.
