Our God of peace and abundant joy!
Read:
Romans 15:13 (TPT): “Now may God, the inspiration and fountain of hope, fill you to overflowing with uncontainable joy and perfect peace as you trust in him. And may the power of the Holy Spirit continually surround your life with his super-abundance until you radiate with hope!”
Act:
Let us be determined this week to believe that GOD is our source of PERFECT PEACE and ABUNDANT JOY!
Peace is “a state of tranquillity, calmness or quietness of spirit”. The Bible describes peace as a gift from God and concurrent with His character. God’s peace leads us to “rejoice with inexpressible joy and to be filled with glory…” Joy is “the pleasurable feeling of being happy; to be glad, satisfied or content”.
We find our greatest joy in that which we value most.
Is your heart overflowing with uncontainable joy and perfect peace?
Let’s believe wholeheartedly that God’s perfect peace motivates us to:
Draw close to Him. The closer we are to God, the more we will enjoy His peace and the joy that it brings to our hearts. God promises to give us peace and joy that transcends our understanding if we trust and obey Him (Philippians 4:6-7). Let’s never cease seeking God, drawing closer to Him, putting Him first in every aspect of our lives, and getting to know Him more. Through our Lord and Saviour – Jesus Christ – we have free access to our Heavenly Father (John 14:6). Let’s earnestly and boldly pray and spend time with our Father. That is the secret to experiencing God’s perfect peace and the abundance of His radiant joy.

Trust Him completely. God is greater than our worried hearts. He is bigger than our anxieties, fears or troubles. He is in control and holds the future in His hands. Because of Jesus we can live in the abundance of God’s perfect peace (Romans 5:1; Isaiah 9:6). As Jesus reassures us in John 14:27 (AMP): “Peace I leave with you; My [perfect] peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be afraid. [Let My perfect peace calm you in every circumstance and give you courage and strength for every challenge]”. Let’s entrust every aspect of our lives to Him – rejoicing in the fullness of God’s inexpressible joy. And let us radiate this amazing peace and overflowing joy to a lost and desperate world.

Pray:
Father God, You are our ultimate source of perfect peace and abundant joy! Father we long to draw close to You, to experience more of Your goodness and peace. Father, please grant us your peace at all times and in every way. Please bless us and keep us. Shower us with Your grace, love and peace so that our hearts will be filled with exceeding joy and will overflow with the hope found only in You! Amen.
