Strength in Listening, Leading, and Living Present

Read:

Judges 5:31 (NIV): “So may all Your enemies perish, Lord! But may all who love You be like the sun when it rises in its strength. Then the land had peace forty years.”

Act:

Let us be determined this week to rise in God’s kind of strength through five ways:

1️⃣ Listen to God’s voice. The loudest voices around us are rarely the most important. God’s voice stills storms, cuts through confusion, and speaks destiny into our lives. Strength doesn’t start with activity—it starts with attentiveness. So let us create space to be silent before our Lord, for what we hear in the secret place will empower us in the public place.

2️⃣ Lead by empowering others. The highest form of leadership is not domination but impartation. Strength multiplies when we say, “I believe in you. God has called you. Step into it—I’ll walk with you.” Let us look for someone this week to encourage, affirm, or release into their calling. Remember: True leaders don’t compete—they complete.

3️⃣ Live courageously present. Distraction dilutes strength. Being fully present multiplies it. When we show up—fully here, not divided, not half-hearted—our presence becomes power. For our family, workplace, and community, our presence matters. Let us be the one who says: “I am here. I am with you. And Christ is in me.” Courage is contagious—and it begins with presence.

4️⃣ Shine with faithful character. Charisma may impress for a moment, but character sustains for a lifetime. Our integrity, kindness, consistency—that’s where Heaven’s strength is seen. We may never know who is watching, but every small act of faithfulness preaches louder than words. Remember: People may forget our words, but they will never forget our presence or our example.

5️⃣ Trust God’s strength within. We were never meant to carry it all ourselves. True strength is not self-made; it is Spirit-breathed. In Him we live, move, and have our being. When we feel weak, remember—His power is perfected in weakness. The same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead is alive in us. So let us rise today like the sun on the horizon—bringing warmth, light, and peace everywhere we go.

Pray:

Father, we thank You that true strength is not in striving, but in surrender. Teach us to listen with attentive hearts, to lead by lifting others, to live fully present in Your calling, to shine with faithful character, and to trust Your Spirit within us. May our lives rise like the sun in its strength, radiating Your peace, hope, and glory to all around us. In Jesus’ mighty Name, Amen.

✨ Remember: “True strength is not found in striving or status, but in listening to God, lifting others, and living fully present where He has called us.”
