The Way, Truth and Life…
Read:
John 14:6-7 (AMP): Jesus said to him, “I am the [only] Way [to God] and the [real] Truth and the [real] Life; no one comes to the Father but through Me. If you had [really] known Me, you would also have known My Father. From now on you know Him, and have seen Him.”
Act:
Let us be determined this week to:
Remember that there is power and blessing in our words. May our words carry TRUTH and LIFE. May our lives testify of our Lord Jesus Christ’s RESURRECTION POWER, and the HOPE that is found in Him only! (John 10:10; 11:25-26; and 14:6) May our words encourage others to hunger and thirst for greater intimacy with our Heavenly Father – especially as we seek Him and cry out to Him for His will to prevail on earth as it is in heaven; and as we trust Him to provide for our daily needs; to forgive our sins; and to deliver us from the evil one (including Covid-19) (Matthew 6:9-13).
Allow Jesus to meet us right where we are. He is inviting us to share with Him honestly about the things that are dominating our thoughts and conversations in these days. But let us also recognise His voice and guidance, particularly during this time, which has been characterised by much fear and anxiety about the unknown. HOPE is the assurance of things not yet seen (Hebrews 11:1); and the TRUTH will set us free and replace fear and hopelessness in our hearts with LIFE! (John 8:31-32)
Know that regardless the storm of uncertainty around us… Or a Virus knocking on our doors… Our identity is securely rooted in Jesus. May we, from that understanding, be like Jesus to those around us in this time because: “In Him we live, move and have our being…” (Acts 17:26-28)
Pray:
Abba Father, what a privilege to pray with your children from all over the world, and just to be reminded of the fact that Jesus our King is not only the resurrected One – He is Resurrection for every one of us. He is LIFE for every one of us, and we pray that the word of LIFE will be on our lips; and that we will not look at what we see, but that we will look at what we believe. Abba Father, I ask You to remind us every day to speak LIFE, and to choose LIFE, and to decide what we believe. (Ina)
Father, how we thank You that there is HOPE in You. How we thank you Jesus, that we serve a risen Savior. You are not only in the world today – You are actually with us, in us, and around us as Emmanuel God with us. Thank You for the ways that You come to us, You walk with us, and You invite us to share with You the TRUTH of our hearts. You receive us and You open our eyes to understand the ways that You’re with us in our pain, the way You’re with us in our fear, and the way You’re with us in our doubts and confusion. (Carrie)
Father, I pray that in these days we would truly have a sense and conviction and revelation that our very being is found in You – not in our jobs, our responsibilities, our roles, our ministries or our leadership positions. Our being is found in you. God, my prayer is that your sons and daughters in this hour will get hold of this TRUTH and they will truly become rooted in Jesus. From that place we have something truly powerful to offer. (Lucinda)
You shall know the TRUTH and the TRUTH shall set you free. We receive that Jesus, as an invitation from Your heart to be honest with You – to look You right in the face and tell You exactly what’s going on… And to receive the peace that passes understanding; and the perspective that reframes our circumstances with the beauty of Your eternal perspective. How we thank You. (Carrie)
My prayer is that those who are hearing this today would with determination get hold of this TRUTH and run with it for all it’s worth. Father, we want to make this lockdown count for something, we want to come out of it knowing that we have been changed, that we have encountered You, and that we have a new sense of purpose, identity and fulfilment – because we know that that is only found in you. (Lucinda)
Set our feet on the solid rock, Jesus. Help us today to anchor our hearts, our minds, and our souls in the TRUTH of Your love; and in the truth of the fact that You promise to never leave us or abandon us. (Carrie)
Hallowed be Your name. Lord, let Your name be magnified and glorified through all the earth. Let Your Kingdom come, let Your will be done. That is what we ask, God, in this current situation – that people across the nations will sit up and take notice. (Rene)
May we proclaim boldly that Jesus is risen! He is here among us today. We ask in the precious name of Jesus – for His glory and the good of Your people and the furtherance of Your kingdom. In Jesus name I pray. Amen. (Carrie)
Amen.
(This WRAP is with great appreciation towards Ina, Rene, Carrie and Lucinda)
