Found in His presence…
Read:
Psalm 105:3-4 (AMP): “Glory in His holy name; Let the hearts of those who seek and require the Lord [as their most essential need] rejoice. Seek and deeply long for the Lord and His strength [His power, His might]; Seek and deeply long for His face and His presence continually”.
Act:
Let us be determined this week to:
Make seeking and requiring the Lord a perpetual “habit” in our lives. There are so many distractions in our lives today. We are bombarded with information and the busyness of life can overtake us. Our diaries are so full, yet often we walk with empty hearts. There is only ONE that can fill our deepest longings, that can minister to our souls, that gives us grace and undeserved favour, and that provides a light for our daily journeys. There is ONE who cares about us and provides for our needs; who provides shelter in the storms we face. There is only ONE that can fill our hearts with joy, love, hope and peace! If we really believe this, then what is keeping us from experiencing and wholeheartedly seeking our Lord in all we do? Let’s be intentional about building healthy habits around the time we devote to our Lord – directing our minds, and hearts toward seeking His presence; obeying Him wholeheartedly, and living out His Kingdom purposes.
Love God the way He loves us. Glorifying God, seeking Him as our top priority, longing to be in His presence, and obeying Him in all we do – all come down to one thing: LOVE. God is love (1 John 4:8). The greatest gift we can receive is to be in God’s presence. When we pursue an intimate relationship with our Heavenly Father, we get to experience His unconditional, extravagant, and never-ending love. And when we get a taste of this love, we long for more! We find ourselves hearing Him more clearly, and knowing Him more deeply – rejoicing in the treasure of His presence – all the days of our lives.
Do you long for and rejoice in the love of our Father? Do you build your life upon seeking and requiring the strength and power of the Holy Spirit in ALL you do? Do you seek and deeply long to be in the presence of our Lord? Let’s reconfirm and declare today: “Lord, there is no one else, nothing more important than You – our first-love and the King of our hearts!”
Pray:
Father God, thank You that we can enter Your presence with thanksgiving! We worship You as Lord of lords and the King of our hearts! We keep our eyes and hearts focussed on You. We rejoice in Your love! Create a hunger and thirst in us for more of You! May we never cease seeking You as the most essential need in our lives. We love You, honour You and praise Your most holy name.
Amen.
