One Direction, One Voice, One Life: Entering the New Year led by Jesus

Read:

John 15:4–5 (NIV): “Remain in Me, as I also remain in you… apart from Me you can do nothing.”

Romans 8:14 (NIV): “For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God.”

Matthew 6:33 (NIV): “But seek first His Kingdom and His righteousness…”

Act:

Let us be determined this week to:

Abide before we attempt. Jesus never said, “Try harder.” He said, “Remain in Me.” Fruit is not produced by effort, but by connection. When we stay close to Jesus, our lives begin to reflect His life—naturally, quietly, powerfully.

Let the Holy Spirit lead the unseen places. The Spirit does not shout. He guides. The safest place in the new year is not knowing the plan—but knowing the Guide. A Spirit-led life is marked not by control, but by trust.

Seek God, not outcomes. We often pursue clarity, success, or answers—but Scripture invites us to pursue God Himself. When God becomes the goal, everything else finds its order. God’s Kingdom first. Always.

Measure faithfulness, not visibility. The world rewards platforms. Jesus forms hearts. Heaven celebrates obedience long before it sees results. This year, choose depth over display. Rootedness over recognition.

Live in a way that leaves Jesus in others. What we leave in people will always matter more than what we leave for them. A life walked closely with Christ leaves a holy imprint wherever it goes.

Pray:

Lord Jesus, we stand at the doorway of a new year, and we choose You again. Not our wisdom. Not our strength. Not our plans.

Teach us to remain in You—to listen more than rush, to trust more than strive, to follow more than fear.

Holy Spirit, order our steps, quiet our hearts, and align our desires with Heaven. Let our lives move at the pace of Your presence. Let our decisions flow from intimacy with You. Let our witness be shaped by love.

Jesus, be our direction. Be our anchor. Be our joy.

We fix our eyes on You—the same yesterday, today, and forever.
Amen.
