A Holy Pursuit

Read:

Hebrews 11:6 (NKJV): “But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.”

Jeremiah 29:13 (NIV): “You will seek Me and find Me when you seek Me with all your heart.”

Psalm 145:18 (AMP): “The Lord is near to all who call upon Him, to all who call upon Him in sincerity and in truth.”

Act:

Let us be determined this week to:

1️⃣ Seek God with wholehearted devotion. A divided heart cannot carry divine fire. Not partly. Not occasionally. God is not found in casual glances—He is found in diligent pursuit. So let us make space for Him. Let us open our Bibles with expectation. Let us seek His presence with sincerity.

2️⃣ Return to the sanctuary—the place of encounter. The presence of God gives us the perspective of Heaven. Let us step away from the noise. Step out of the rush and lean into the quiet. Every seeker needs a sanctuary—a place where the Word speaks louder than culture, and God’s whisper quiets every storm. Because it is in His presence we see clearly, we love deeply, and we walk securely.

3️⃣ Allow God to become our portion and our treasure. When God is our everything, nothing else can shake us. The world offers many treasures, but only One is eternal. Only One satisfies. Only One remains. May God be our portion, strength, anchor, first love, joy, and confidence. For when God becomes our treasure, our hearts finally come home.

4️⃣ Live a God-first, Christ-led, Spirit-inspired life. A seeker does not merely find God—a seeker is transformed by God. This is the life Jesus invites us into: A life where God comes first, Christ leads the way, and the Holy Spirit empowers every step. This is the secret to a life of peace, passion, obedience, and purpose.

5️⃣ Continue the pursuit—today, tomorrow, and always. To seek God is to live awake. The pursuit of God is not a moment; it is a movement. Not an event; a lifestyle. Not a chapter; a lifelong story. We seek Him… because He is worthy. We seek Him… because we need Him. We seek Him… because we love Him. And we seek Him… because He first sought us.

Pray:

Father, we seek You. Not half-heartedly, not in haste, but with all that we are. Awaken our desire for You. Stir a fresh hunger within us—a deep, holy longing to know You, to hear You, to walk in Your ways. Draw us back into Your presence, where our perspective clears, and our hearts find rest. Become our first love again, our portion, our treasure, our strength.

Lead us into deeper intimacy with You—a life where we live God-first, guided by Christ, and inspired by the Holy Spirit.

May this week be marked by pursuitseeking You early, seeking You earnestly, seeking You continually. And may our lives reveal Your goodness and faithfulness to everyone we meet.

In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
