From Stillness to Sending – A Pause-to-Purpose Journey

Psalm 46:10 (AMPC): “Be still and know (recognise and understand) that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations! I will be exalted in the earth!”

Isaiah 6:8 (NKJV): “Then I said, ‘Here am I. Send me.’”

Act:

Let us be determined this week to apply five life-changing truths to our lives:

Stillness is a Strategy, Not a Stall. Jesus Himself withdrew often to be alone with the Father (Luke 5:16). Why? Because the secret place fuels the sent place. In our stillness, we’re not wasting time—we’re receiving divine instructions, renewed identity, and spiritual resilience. So let us make space daily—five minutes or even one—just to be still and let God speak before we move.

Jesus is Not a Piece of the Puzzle—He Is the Picture. Too often, we try to fit Jesus into our schedule. But He doesn’t belong on the margins—He is the centre. When Jesus is at the centre, everything finds its place. Chaos submits to peace. Confusion surrenders to clarity. Priorities realign.

Our “Yes” in Stillness Releases Purpose in Motion. God doesn’t send the most qualified—He sends the most surrendered. He didn’t wait for Isaiah to be perfect. He revealed His glory, and Isaiah simply said, “Here I am. Send me.” One whispered yes can echo across generations.

We Are Already Standing on Sacred Ground. We don’t have to cross an ocean to be a missionary. We just have to cross the room. Or send a text. Or offer a prayer. Our everyday places—home, work, online chats—become holy ground when Jesus is present. Remember: “Every platform becomes a pulpit when our lives reflect His presence.”

It’s Not About Striving—It’s About Surrender. God is not asking us to carry the weight of our calling. He’s asking us to walk in step with Him. So, may we let go of the fear of failing and know that God is already ahead of us, making a way.

When our lives are anchored in our Lord, we lack nothing.

Pray:

Father, thank You for calling us into holy stillness—where striving ceases and surrender begins. Quiet every other voice but Yours. Let our hearts realign to Your pace, Your presence, and Your purpose. Jesus, take centre place in our lives. We say yes again, not in our strength, but in Yours. Send us—into our homes, our friendships, our nations—with courage and compassion. May our lives echo the cry: “Here we are, Lord—send us.”

“Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or imagine… to Him be the glory. Forever and ever!” Amen. (Ephesians 3:20–21)
