Reflected Glory: Becoming Radiant in Christ

Read:

1 Peter 3:3–4 (NASB 1995): “Your adornment must not be merely external—braiding the hair, and wearing gold jewelry, or putting on dresses; but let it be the hidden person of the heart, with the imperishable quality of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is precious in the sight of God.”

Romans 7:18–19 (NIV): “For I know that good itself does not dwell in me, that is, in my sinful nature. For I have the desire to do what is good, but I cannot carry it out. For I do not do the good I want to do, but the evil I do not want to do—this I keep on doing.”

Act:

Let us be determined this week to:

Reflect Christ, rather than striving to shine on our own. May we reflect the light and character of Jesus—remembering it is His presence in us, not our performance, that makes us radiant.

Surrender daily. In quiet moments and chaotic ones, in joy and pain—let us trust that God is shaping the heart, mind, and ways of Christ in us.

Resist worldly standards of beauty and success. May we choose instead the imperishable beauty of a gentle, surrendered heart—one that God calls “precious in His sight.”

Live for God’s delight, not for approval. Real freedom comes when we stop performing for others and simply abide in Christ. Our worth is secure in Him.

Walk in the Spirit. We are fully loved and accepted by God. Let our transformation be an overflow of that love, producing fruit that brings honour to Jesus—not to impress people, but to glorify Him.

Pray:

Father God, thank You for loving us, no matter what the condition of our hearts may be. But because we love You in return, equip us to have hearts that sparkle with Your love and compassion for others and gratitude toward Your blessings, provision and forgiveness. Allow the Holy Spirit to fill us and guide us every day.

Oh, precious Father, King of Kings and Lord of Lords, You see us with such love and forgiveness. Thank You for giving us the privilege that we could never, ever deserve, being Your beloved. Thank You, Lord that You have promised to meet our every need, in Your timing and in Your way. We love You, Lord. Thank You for loving us so much that You gave Your only Son to die on our behalf, so that we could all be Your children forever.

Father, we acknowledge that we have taken many wrong steps. We have veered off the path. But as the lost sheep was sought by the Lord, we are found, and we have a journey to take. Let us walk in the Spirit, walk according to what the Spirit, through Your Word, is teaching us, directing us, and showing us what to do. We trust You that You are the God of the next step, and we thank You for that. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
