Faith in Action…
Read:
1 John 3:18 (AMP): “Let us not love [merely in theory] with word or with tongue [giving lip service to compassion], but in action and in truth [in practice and in sincerity, because practical acts of love are more than words].”
Act:
Let us be determined this week to:
Align our faith with our thoughts, words and actions. As we journey through the upcoming days, may our lives serve as a testimony to the values and principles we hold dear, reflecting God’s love and grace in everything we do. May we long to live by the truth found in James 1:22 (NKJV): “But be doers of the Word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.”
Prioritise our devotion to God over worldly concerns. Let us trust in His provision and seek His will amidst life’s distractions.
Be shining examples of God’s love and light, helping others find hope and strength in Him only. May we always depend on Jesus, our guiding Light, to lead us towards experiencing His peace, healing, truth, forgiveness, restoration, wisdom and amazing grace. As we navigate through the challenges and distractions of the upcoming week, let us live with authenticity and integrity, demonstrating compassion, kindness and love in all our interactions, extending the same grace we have so freely received. May our actions speak volumes and reflect the eternal truths of God’s Word, drawing others closer to Him.
Pray:
Lord Jesus, You know every single part of us. You know our thoughts, our beliefs, our deeds. We ask that You reveal any areas of our lives where there is a disconnect. A disconnect between what we believe and how we live! We long, Lord, to represent You well in our words and actions. May every area of our lives bring You glory. Thank You for giving us clear instructions in Your Word. Lord, may we read, study, believe and act upon Your assignments for us. In Jesus’ precious name, we pray.
O Jesus, Lord, what a privilege to learn that we do not have to worry. We only have to focus on You and You alone. Give us the strength to lay down our burdens and give them to You.
LORD, where there is fear and anxiety, let Your peace enfold us.
Where there is woundedness and grief, may Your healing cure us.
Where there are lies, let Your truth dispel them.
Where there is guilt and condemnation, let Your forgiveness cleanse our hearts and minds.
Where there is family dysfunction, may Your wisdom guide each person to calm waters and a safe shore.
Where there is bitterness and unforgiveness, may Your grace pierce and dispel the darkness.
Where there is despair, may Your hope slice through and open up any woundedness.
In the name of Jesus, Amen.
