Who Reigns Supreme in Your Life?

Matthew 22:37 (NIV): Jesus replied: “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.”

Let us be determined this week to:
Love God wholeheartedly by putting Him first in our lives. God loves us beyond measure and desires to spend time with us so that we can develop a deeper, more intimate relationship with Him. When we earnestly seek the Lord and surrender to His will, He responds to our prayers and shows us His way. Anchoring ourselves in God’s Word provides us with direction, hope, wisdom and courage to withstand difficulties and the raging storms of life. As we continue to seek God, we will find Him, and once we find Him, we will desire the intimacy of meeting with Jesus again and again. Therefore, let us intentionally spend time with our Lord daily, reading His Word and praying. This will transform our hearts, minds and spirits and give us a deeper understanding of God’s will for our lives.
Ask for God’s direction, His assignment for us, and His provision to faithfully accomplish the tasks He has given us. Jesus told His disciples in Matthew 9:37-38 (NIV), “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into His harvest field.” Let’s follow Jesus’ example by showing compassion to those who are lost and weary. With the shoes of peace on our feet (Ephesians 6:15), we can stand firm in our faith and use the power and authority given to us to overcome hardships, pray for others and advance God’s Kingdom here on earth. Growth in the Kingdom of God is not an option! With God’s help, may we plant the seeds of His Word in the hearts and minds of those we encounter. Let us be kind, forgiving, committed, trustworthy, socially responsible, and loving in all our relationships. May our thoughts, words and actions bring honour and glory to our Father in Heaven, as we respect and cherish one another. In doing so, we will draw closer to Jesus, the One who reigns supreme in our lives, and show Him to the world around us.
Pray:
Father God, I bless You today. Thank You that You love each and every one of us and You want to spend time with us. Your time with us is not just for us to do Your will and do Your bidding, it’s also because You love us and You like us. I ask that these people will really enjoy the time that they have with You, that they’ll know how real You are and how close You are. You have a real interest in their lives and their emotions and their thoughts as well as in their ministries. I bless their ministries so that they will be fruitful because of the time they spend with You. In Jesus’ name.
Our Heavenly Father, we are so thankful for Your Word. We are so thankful that we can be co-workers in the Kingdom of God. You called us to grow. You called us to plant. And You called us to reap. And we want people in our lives, Lord, so that we are together on this road to heaven. Help us today to plant positive Biblical foundational seeds in people’s lives so that we can expect a harvest. Bless us, Lord. In the name of Jesus our Master.
Father, we love You, we love to be with You – even if it’s in a storm. Thank You for giving us anchors in life. Thank You for giving us Your Word, Your trustworthiness that we can hang onto. Thank You also for people around us that can give us advice and give us perspective. Help us to close our mouths and open our ears and our hearts so that we can hear You. So that we can take courage from the promises You’ve given us. Thank You for protecting us despite the storms, Lord, so that we can grow in our spiritual lives and grow in our love for You and trust for You. We pray this in the name of Jesus.
So Lord, I just want to say we are here. And we present our feet to You. Give us the shoes, Lord. We put them on. In Jesus’ name. Amen
Lord, I just pray that we would be devoted to one another with authentic brotherly affection as members of one family. May we give preference to one another in honour. Touch our hearts, Lord, that we would walk in Your honour. But most of all, we would want to give You glory and honour in all that we do. In Jesus’s name. Amen.
