Jesus is Trustworthy!

Read:

Lamentations 3:22-23 (ESV): “The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; His mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness.”

Act:

This week, let us remember to:

Entrust the details of our lives to our Lord as He establishes our steps and the direction of our lives. Only God is perfectly trustworthy! You have probably come to realise that the things of this world will fail us… friends, finances, our health, and even, on occasion, our family. May we take intentional time to sow into our relationship with our Heavenly Father, so that we can grow in knowing Him more deeply. Our time with God builds our confidence to fully trust Him regardless of our ups and downs. God longs to guide us towards healing, restoration and victory, if we would just open up to His grace and trust Him unconditionally. As it says in Proverbs 3:5-6 (NLT): Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek His will in all you do, and He will show you which path to take.” May our lives reflect our trust in our Heavenly Father, so that those around us may trust in Him as well.

Appreciate the gift of Godly friends. One way we can build our trust in the Lord and see His favour upon our lives is through Christian friends who hold us accountable to the ways of Jesus. As it says in Proverbs 17:17 (NIV): “A friend loves at all times.” Friends can call us to be more like Jesus as we go through the challenges and joys of this world. True friends help us see Ecclesiastes 4:9 lived out before our eyes: Two are better than one.” May we nurture Godly friendships, as they are so important in our journey through life. May I encourage you to send a message to a special Godly friend today, and thank them for doing life together with you!

Stand in awe of God’s wonderful faithfulness. Another way to build our trust in our Lord is to reflect on His presence and guidance through the stories of our lives – past, present and future. He tells us that as we give our lives to Him, all things will work together for His glory and for our good according to His purpose (Romans 8:28). So let us rest – knowing that God has a unique journey for each of us. May we walk FAITHFULLY AND with OBEDIENCE to His will for our lives, declaring the words of Jesus in Matthew 6:9: “Our Father Who is in heaven. Hallowed be Your Name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.”

Pray:

Father, thank You so much that we can come to You and surrender, despite how difficult that may be. If we continue to walk the walk we prefer,  and follow the direction we choose, then we often land in places that You never planned for us to be in. But if we are willing to surrender; if we are willing to trust You, then You will take us to where we need to be. You will establish our steps, and You will make us who You have called us to be.

Father God, we just want to thank You that You are our guide and counsellor. You know everything that is hindering us from moving forward. Thank You for Jesus Christ. Thank You for what He did on the cross.  Because of Him, we have a living example of how to walk, how to break free from chains, and how to truly stand in victory. We honour Your mighty, mighty name.

Oh, Father, we come thanking You for the amazing gift of friendship. As we seek to follow You with all of our heart, mind, soul, and strength, You have given us precious, Godly friends who desire the same thing. They hold us accountable in our walk with You on this earth. Whether they are friends on Zoom or in person, may we never take them or their influence for Your Kingdom on our lives, for granted. When the time comes for us to be together in heaven, we will have already had a sample of the JOY of eternal friendship, through one another. Thank You Father that Your Beloved Son sent us our invitation to the ‘marriage supper of the lamb’ through His death and resurrection. May we live sharing that message and looking forward to that blessed event with one another, and most importantly, with You. In Jesus’ precious name.

Father God, I want to praise You. When our hearts are disquieted within us, help us to  remember Your faithfulness, knowing that You never leave or forsake us – knowing that nothing is impossible for You. Pain or joy, nothing is wasted. Looking back, we see Your hand writing our life’s story for our good and for Your glory!

Thank You, God my Father, God our Father, that we get to call You that. We get to honour Youseated on a throne that is unmoved. Thank You Father, that our prayers are coming to You so that we may get to know You. We desire to know Your will, to see You, to hear You. I pray that as we go through this week and through this day, that our focus is Your glory, and Your kingdom.  Our focus is that Your will be done through us. We want to see Your kingdom here Lord. And I ask this in Jesus’ name. Amen.
