Our good-good Shepherd!

Read:

Psalm 23:1-6 (NIV): “The Lord is my Shepherd, I lack nothing. He makes me lie down in green pastures, He leads me beside quiet waters, He refreshes my soul. He guides me along the right paths for His name’s sake. Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for You are with me; Your rod and your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. Surely Your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever”.

Act:

Let us be determined this week to:

Meditate on Psalm 23. Let us plant God’s Word deep within our hearts and accept the invitation to sit at His table and have close communion and fellowship with the Shepherd of our souls and the giver of life.

Not keep the Good news of a Heavenly Father who cares for us to ourselves, but celebrate and praise our Lord through private and corporate worshipglorifying and blessing Him for His provision, protection, guidance, peace and eternal life.

Remember that our Shepherd will turn around to find one lost sheep, so that the entire flock can stand victorious ‘in and through’ Jesus. Together each one can reach their full potential by sowing Kingdom-seed that bears plenty of Spiritual fruit. Let us allow the Holy Spirit to encourage and equip us to stay on the path as our Lord’s goodness, mercy, and love follow us into the house of God!

Pray:

Lord, You are an amazing God, and we want to worship You. We want to lift Your name on high. We want to learn more ways to express our gratitude and our love for You. I pray that You would create spaces and cultures where people can really use their passion and whatever You put on their hearts to worship You!

Father God, I just want to honour You and worship You as the one and only true King reigning over this universe. Father, I want to honour You because Your throne stands as a witness that the enemy won’t have a chance. Father, I want to pray that we will start having more communion with You, because You say when we take the bread, that is a sign of Your body that was broken, and when we drink the juice, that is a sign of Your blood, that flowed for us, so that we can be close and united with You. After our quiet time and communion with You, we can walk and be a light, and remind the devil he is overcome. I pray Lord, that You will bless our prayers now and thank You that You receive them in heaven. You listen, and You remind us where two or three pray, and we agree on it, You will give it to us. And we believe that Lord.

Heavenly Father, thank You that we can know that You love us and You provide for us and take care of us each day. Will You please help us all to keep sowing and not give up and keep speaking to people who don’t know You, so they can see what an amazing God we serve.

Our Heavenly Father, thank You so much for this time today. I thank You, for the reminders to encourage one another, to encourage our leaders, to encourage those who are disheartened, to encourage those who are weak or helpless. It is a way for us to encourage ourselves regarding what we need to be doing as Christians. Lord, thank You for the opportunity to come to You, one-on-one, and talk with You, all day long, every day!

Father God, thank You so much that we can stand before You and, in affirmation, declare that You are our Shepherd. Thank You for Your Holy Scriptures, thank You for the Words of encouragement that come alive as You speak to us. Father God, thank You that You are part of us in every component of our life. You supply all our needs. We thank You Lord for this day, we thank You for Your grace, we thank You for Your mercy. And we thank You, Lord that You are there to hold us, protect us and guide us. May we never let go of Your hand. And through the intercession of the Holy Spirit, may our relationship with You be deepened every day, so that we may know the love that You have for us. We can reciprocate that through our love for You and our love for others. Thank You Father God, that we can live in peace and harmony with others and glorify You every day. Amen.

Amen.
