What’s your plan to be in His plan, this year?
Read:
Ephesians 5:15-17 (NIV): “Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord’s will is.”
Act:
Let us be determined this week to:
Spend daily quiet time with Jesus. Let’s make our “appointment” with the King of all kings our highest priority. It is during these ‘Be Still and Know’ times that He will reveal His thoughts and plans about the future… from small decisions to monumental life-changing ideas!
Memorise God’s Word. May we be intentional about hiding God’s Word in our hearts. He wants to use it to strengthen us for the task ahead and to guide our steps for His glory.
Find our rest in Jesus. Let’s make our ‘spiritual default mode’ to look to Jesus: for answers to our deepest questions; for peace to displace our anxious thoughts; for joy to bring us hope; for wisdom to keep us from harm; and for love to fill us to overflowing – so we may impact the world around us.
Pray:
Lord Jesus, You are such a mighty God. You not only gave us each day of life, but You also gave us the privilege of planning, with Your help. We ask that You will empower all of us to be faithful to meet with You daily. May we always remember Psalm 46:10 – ‘Be still, and know’! ’You don’t say, ‘be busy and know,’ ‘multi-task and know,’ or even ‘catch a podcast and know’! You long for us to sit at Your feet and gaze into Your eyes in quietness, to hear your voice. You are the great I AM! Lord, may we be intentional about spending time with You and hiding Your Word in our hearts. May we be aware of the continual reality of Your presence in our lives. Indeed, may 2022 find us experiencing more and more of Jesus!
In Jesus’ precious name, Amen.
Amen.
