The wonderful gift of Prayer…

Read:

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 (AMP): “Rejoice always and delight in your faith; be unceasing and persistent in prayer; in every situation [no matter what the circumstances] be thankful and continually give thanks to God; for this is the will of God for you in Christ Jesus”.

Act:

Let us be determined this week to:
Be diligent and intentional about seeking God’s heart (His will) for our lives. Do you have a special place and time in the day to be quiet and still in God’s presence? May we seek God’s will and plan for our lives by saturating ourselves in His Word, by worshipping Him, and by listening for His direction in our lives.

Remain humble and honest before our Lord. Sometimes it’s hard to admit that we have failed or that we have done something wrong, but God urges us to come with a repentant heart, so that He may bring restoration to all the areas of our lives. Our good Father longs and desires to see us set free from everything that could hold us back from living our lives according to His plan and purposes!

Reach out and pray for the salvation and needs of others. May we be the peace-makers, the joy-bringers and the forgiveness-givers in the world around us! There is so much power in standing together with fellow believers, fighting the good fight of faith through prayer! Prayer is powerful and it changes everything – because we bring what we have and make it available to God!

Pray:

O Lord, we thank You for being our good, good Father! We humbly come before You today, with grateful hearts full of praise.

We burst with adoration and joy as we quieten our hearts and turn our gaze towards Your magnificence!

Thank You for the privilege of prayer. Thank You that through Jesus we can come to You with our whole lives and lay them at Your feet!

Father we long to always be faithful in prayer. May we be Your children who are found in our secret places, on our knees, desperately seeking You!

May we keep praying, even if we are struggling to see beyond the mountains or obstacles in our way right now.

We choose to declare in faith, that You are our Father. You are able to do abundantly more that we can ask or even imagine.

Help us to keep our prayers in line with Your will for us. We are desperate for Your leadership and guidance in our families, our relationships, our communities, our schools and our places of work.

Thank You that You are always listening and moving on our behalf. O Lord, You are trustworthy and worthy of our praise!

Thank You that the more we cling to You in prayer, the more we remain steadfast in our struggles and deeply rooted in Your promises for our lives.

Without You being active in our lives we would most certainly fail. Thank You that in You, there is great hope and a prosperous future!

Father we love You, and we want to honour You in every area of our lives. Today, we surrender all to you! We look forward to walking with You all the days of our lives! In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Amen.
