Dancing in Heaven…

Read:

Proverbs 15:30 (AMP): “The light of the eyes rejoices the hearts of others…”

Act:

In loving memory of our amazing friend Ancois – who is now dancing in Heaven – let us be determined this week to:
Not be anxious about anything. “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:6-7). If we look, we can see God’s hand daily, and in everything! God continuously sends Angels to join us on our paths – to help us run this race.

Not fear, for Christ is with us. And just like Jesus was with the disciples in the boat in the middle of the storm, He never leaves us during our journey. “I can do all this through Him who gives me strength” (Philippians 4:13).

Live our lives for our Lord. Philippians 1:21 says: “For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain”.

Live our lives to love on others. I have seen how forgiveness, love and having a meek heart – as Jesus did – simplifies relationships. Every day, His Holy Spirit reminds me to listen with an understanding heart – to not take offence or judge – but to rather just love! In Romans 12:18 it says: “If it be possible, as much as it depends on you, live peaceably with all men”.

It is my heart to encourage you to strive to be more like Jesus every day…. to know that even in difficult circumstances, He is always with us… ALWAYS! You can even ask Him to protect your thoughts and your dreams while you sleep. Romans 8:28 says: “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose”.

If you have ever felt that you are not good enough and you don’t measure up, I want to remind you that you have worth because God says so. You can’t veto His opinion and decide it’s not true. Our goal and motivation behind everything we do is that one day, in heaven, we will stand in the presence of the Almighty Father. Just imagine how happy you will be at that moment. Every moment of suffering, unfair treatment or hurt will be resolved. You’ll know it was worth it to live for Christ, to follow His lead, and to turn the other cheek.

So let us seek Jesus with persistence and urgency! I pray that we would all be able to say, as Paul did in 2 Timothy 4:7 (NIV): “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith”.

May the Lord’s peace be with you today and always.

Amen.
