Praying for faith to believe…

Read:

Hebrews 11:1 (NIV): “Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see”.

Act:

This week, let’s re-visit the foundations of what we believe:

FAITHFaith is such an important foundation in our lives. Do we really trust God – to the point where we will leave everything and follow where God leads us? Are we so close to our Heavenly Father that we will hear and obey Him when He speaks to us? Are our eyes focused on Jesus alone, or are we drowning in the worries and doubts of the ‘here and now?’ Do we allow Jesus to save us, to keep us, to care for us? Regardless of the situation – even if we cannot see solutions yet – may we believe! May we be steadfast. Trusting and believing that God is good, that He loves us unconditionally and always near!
PEACE – God promises us perfect peace. May we hold onto that promise – turning to God, receiving His peace, and being grateful in everything. Let us thank God for all that we have, moving forward in the power of the Holy Spirit as we live out God’s plan for our lives and allowing His peace to lead us forward.
UNITY – Let us stand united. God blesses unity. He doesn’t ask us to do life alone. Let’s seek advice from Godly people around us. Let’s do life together and let’s worship together. God has already gone before us… Let’s arise and go! May we prayerfully follow God as a united team!
PRAYER – There is truly nothing more powerful than prayer. Do we realise that in our weakness, our God is strong? In our prayer times, let’s trust God to grow us into who He created us to be. Let’s invite Him to show us who we can serve next – and then be still in His presence, listening for His instructions on how to take the next step.

Pray:

Heavenly Father, we come to You in the name of Your Son Jesus Christ. Lord, we want to thank You for Your perfect peace. We want to thank You that even though there are challenges, and we’re struggling to see what this year is going to look like, we know You’ve got our backs. We know that when we are weak, You are strong Heavenly Father. We know that Your peace surpasses all understanding. We thank You for Your mercy Lord. We thank You for Your grace, Heavenly Father. We thank You for strength and wisdom. May we always turn to You Lord.

Father, I want to thank You for Your goodness, and for Your love. Thank You that You are using broken vessels, and thank You that our lights shine through our vessels. Thank You that when we are weak, You are strong; and thank You that we can have the victory in You. Thank You that we can proclaim Your life with our mouths.

Thank You God for Your Word. Thank You Holy Spirit that You’re the one who quickens Your Word in us… the Word of Truth by the Spirit of Truth. Thank You Lord that Your Word brings life. Thank You that Your Word brings purpose. Thank You that Your Word brings belonging: that we know we are owned by You, God… that we have a place in Your comforting arms.

Lord, I just want to thank You for this opportunity to have a personal relationship with You. Thank You for always being there – even when we feel like no one else is. I pray that You would help us to be more vulnerable, especially before You. May we experience Your love, Your power and Your strength like never before. I pray for new testimonies, for breakthrough, and for a fresh release of perseverance, as we put our trust and faith in You alone. We love You Jesus. Thank You for Your unconditional and irreplaceable love.

Our Father, we thank You for everything You have done for us. We thank You that You sent your Son to die on the cross for us, to give us life and to overcome anything that we might face. We thank You that You are always there to keep us from sinking; and we pray that You will help us to keep our eyes fixed on You during this time. We pray for those who are suffering without income and without food. We stand on your promise today Lord. You are able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to Your power that is at work within us. We will look to the nations and be amazed for we know that we are about to see You do something in our days that we would not believe even if we were told. To You be the glory, for ever. Amen.

Amen.
