Spread the joy of Christ!

Read:

Ephesians 2:8-9 (NIV): “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith – and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God – not by works, so that no one can boast”.

Act:

Let us be determined this week to:

Sit at the foot of the cross and allow Jesus to change our lives. The simple truth of the gospel is that we are enslaved to sin and worldly desires. We all have moments, and possibly a past that we are ashamed of – ‘BUT GOD!’… Through the greatest act of love, He has given us His beloved Son to save us, and to take away our sin, confusion, searching, emptiness, and bondage. Through His amazing grace, we can live in the fullness He created for us. Even though we are sometimes distracted by the enemy, by the lies we believe or by sin, let’s remember that: “God is so rich in mercy, and He loved us so much, that even though we were dead because of our sins, he gave us life when he raised Christ from the dead” (Eph 2:4-5 (NLT)).
Worship Jesus for giving His life for us so that we could have eternal hope! Let’s celebrate the empty tomb! Our Lord has risen, and because of this great gift, we have HOPE through GRACE. Regardless of what we may be facing, or the trials we are wrestling with… it’s GRACE that will lead us into the loving arms of our Heavenly Father. Let us welcome the Holy Spirit right where we are, right now, to deposit His TRUTH and PROMISES deep within our hearts. Worship, and a wholehearted celebration of our Lord Jesus Christ, is the greatest gift we can give back to our Father.
Arise and shine! Jesus is risen! He is alive! May we awaken as a church! Let us arise and seek the lost… pointing them to the love and hope we have in Jesus. May we be grateful for what God has given us. May our eyes be opened to see through the lens of the love and grace of Jesus!

Pray:

Dear Father God, we are so grateful for Your Son Jesus. Help us this Easter to pray for Your people and to worship You with our whole heart. We love You. In Jesus Name we pray.

Father, I want to thank You with all my heart, beyond what words can say. Your love is unsearchable, Your love is unfathomable, Your love is unceasing and so hard to understand. That love held Jesus on the cross: Jesus the righteous One, the only perfect One, the Lamb of God who came to take away our sins. Father, I contemplate His suffering on that cross, and I just cannot understand Your love for me, a sinner. It is extraordinary, such amazing grace. I want to thank You, because Your love held Him on that cross. The earth was shaken, the sun disappeared, and that curtain was torn from top to bottom. Jesus was resurrected and risen, He came back. He came back to life, He overcame sin, and suffering, and the devil and death itself. We can only praise You and thank You that we can come to You in full surrender and in utter gratitude. Thank You for what You did Jesus. Thank You for coming as the sacrificial Lamb of God. Thank You for opening the Holy of Holies to us, that we may enter into Your presence. Thank You that we have this hope, this joy of eternity in Your presence. We so desire that our loved ones, the people in our circles may come to know You. I pray that there will be revival, that Your church will awaken, and that we will share our faith with those around us. We pray Lord that You will fill us with Your Spirit, and that we would shine Your light.

Lord, I am again humbled and amazed at Your love for us. Easter time brings us back to the cross, and reminds us that truly, You are love; and without You Lord, we really can’t be who we are supposed to be. You’ve really shown us that with You, through You, is the only way to live, it’s the only way to eternal life. Thank You that You’ve risen! Thank You for the hope that comes with that. Holy Spirit we ask for your power, for Your guidance. May we live with You in every moment and seek Your kingdom here on earth Oh Lord. Through that, may we bring people closer to You, and may we be the living Word that You need us to be.

Lord, we welcome this week and all that it means in our lives – today and for our future. This Holy week of remembrance is a gift You have given to us. You have given us the sacrifice of Your perfect and only Son, so that our sins could be forgiven. Not only in the death of Jesus, but in His resurrection, we are given new life, Lord. Our lives are literally reframed by His resurrection. We have a new purpose, a promised future, power for challenges, and access to our loving living God. That truly is the greatest gift in the world. We praise You Lord for allowing us to gather in praise, in worship, and in fellowship together this day. Lord, as we continue in worship, may the precious gift of Jesus never be wasted on us. May we humbly come before You daily Lord, thanking You for Your great sacrifice, listening for assignments that You give us in the Kingdom of God.

Thank You Jesus that You were pierced for our transgressions. Thank You that You were crushed under the weight of our sin and iniquities. The punishment that was due to everyone brought us peace. Your wounds are healing us, and will continue to bring healing to us. And just like sheep, we repeatedly go astray, we repeatedly get lost and we go our own way. And yet You call us back. Thank You God that every one of our ‘turnings away’ – the blame, the guilt, the shame – is laid on You. What’s even more amazing is that this is just the entrance, just the access to the Father. What You did on the cross was the free pass to backstage, to where we could meet the main character, Jesus. We could not only meet Him, but take Him home – and walk a journey and life of intimacy with Him. Thank You for giving us access Lord. Thank You for this great reward that we are already living. In John 3:16 it says: “For God so loved the world, He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him may have eternal life”. The key in that is the love, not the eternity. Eternity is what you invite us into because You so desperately want us to be part of where You are, because of the intimacy we have with You. We thank You Jesus for making that possible. Amen.

Seeing people surrender their lives to Christ is one of the greatest joys of serving our Lord. Perhaps you feel that sin has separated you from our Lord.
Or perhaps today is the first time you have realised that the greatest gift we have ever received is when Jesus died on the cross and when He rose and defeated sin forever.
Because of Jesus, we are reconciled with God and we can spend eternity with Him in heaven.
Salvation is God’s free gift to us, but we must accept it.
Perhaps you feel like returning to or reconciling with God. Or maybe you do not know Him yet. Why don’t we pray this prayer together today:

Heavenly Father, please forgive me of all my sins. Will You please come and make me brand new. Jesus, I believe that You not only died for me, but that You have risen again to give me new life so that I can live for You! Please fill me with Your Spirit, so I can know You, serve You, worship You and follow You all my life! Today, I surrender all of my life to You. Thank You for Your grace, for Your forgiveness, for Your love and for giving me eternal hope.
Jesus, in Your most precious name we pray.

Amen.
